Hi,

Next week is the first round of the 2009 french tarmac rallies championship, traditionally held in the Lyon area... ;)

Despite crisis and until now lots of bad rumours, entrylist isn't bad at all(almost 200 entries - some late entries can still be added within this week)

Here provisional entrylist: http://www.asarhone.com/v21/Charbonnieres/2009/Engages.asp

One of the news for this event is the Peugeot cup using the new 207 R3T(18 crews registered until today)...
The Suzuki Swift Cup goes on this year too...

For the first time there will be no less than six S2000s running this event(a record on the french roads - except at Antibes08/ERC)...all in the Trophée BFGoodrich :D

About six Kit-cars are also on the list...

Of course WRCs are also present with two whales, two Imprezas(surprise entry is basque/spanish driver Gorka Apalantza) and three 206s...

Looks like very good event all in all

Seeing Canivenq, Marty, Gal and Vigion in S2000 cars looks very exciting !!! All four boys are fast so in equal cars will be very interesting ;)

A few pics of today's shakedown :)

Not so many cars because SDs in french tarmac championship are quite expensive...many teams prefer to test elsewhere

SS1 running !!!! :D

Without surprise David Salanon in Cuoq's whale(he rent)was fastest...but S2000s are just behind him(Marty and Vigion 2nd and 3rd fastest only 3 and 6s slower)

Time differences are a lot bigger on stage two, Snobeck now in second overall, so one-two for the whale's. :D

]But Marty and Vigion are veeeery close to each other :)

Yes, and i was wrong, because Snobeck isn't second but only fourth overall, with Marty and Vigion second and third. ;)

So at the end of today's three stages:

1. Solanon
2. Marty at 19"6
3. Snobeck at 19"7
4. Vigion at 21"3
5. Canivenq at 44"3

End of leg one(after three stages including a very short SSS) ;)

Salanon starts the rally like he started it last year(except he went off on last stage of event in 2008)...

Battle for the Trophée BFGoodrich will be intensive tomorrow with S2000s(Marty, Vigion and Canivenq)vs GTs(Nantet Porsche, Enjolras Lotus)vs Kit-cars(Boetti 306, Rouillard Megane, Latil 306)vs R3s(Guigou Clio) :bounce:

The all new Volant 207 of Peugeot starting there looks already promising with the first five drivers(Marché, Véricel, Daumas, Comte, Augoyard)separated by 8s only after the leg...

In the Suzuki Swift Cup Campana is already dominating in front of Durand and Ancian...

Start second leg in about 18 minutes :)

With two long stages to go now(SS4 is 26km and SS5 25km long)gaps could be very very large

But I hope they will remain small for the sake of sport until the end of the event :)

Salanon offroad on first stage of the day, leaving the lead to Snobeck with Vigion in second now, closely folowed by Marty and Nantet in his Porsche. ;)

After the two long stages 4 & 5, this is the situation:

1. Snobeck
2. Vigion at 49"5
3. Marty at 1'10"3
4. Nantet at 1'10"4
5. Boetti at 1'24"3
6. Roche at 1'36"6
7. Canivenq at 1'48"8

So very close for third podiumplace. ;)

After stage 7, and two more besttimes of Snobeck:

1. Snobeck
2. Vigion at 1'13"7
3. Marty at 1'36"0
4. Nantet at 1'55"6

Yep incredible Salanon did a "fatal" mistake like last year :s

Big battle in Trophée BFGoodrich but gaps aren't small(Vigion 22s ahead of Marty who is 19s ahead of Nantet,...) ;)

There are some crashes that forces the stages to be momently stopped so it's a bit a mess to follow the event :mark:

Final results in France:

1. Snobeck
2. Vigion at 2'33"9
3. Marty at 2'59"2
4. Canivenq at 3'37"5
5. Roche at 3'42"5
6. Nantet at 4'58"2

So good results by the S2000 cars, but not able to be a thread to Snobeck in his 307 WRC ;)
