Palm Beach International Raceway Team have
come to terms with F3 veteran Charlie Kimball
to drive their #35.
He will be more than a race car driver, but he
will be a spokeman in reference of his Type 1
diabetes that he was diagnosed in 2007.
Welcome back Charlie. we hope you may still
live your F1 dream if Peter and Ken select you.

Anyone have a current tally for Lights drivers? I swear every other day there's a new driver announced. Summerton was announced recently as well. Indycar looks like 21-23 this season, but Lights could be over 30 by this point.

I met a very young Charlie Kimball way back in the early 90's, when he was about knee high and we were out west checking on the progress of then mini Al Unser when he was racing karts. One of the young guys who we took notice of was Charlie. You could not miss the bundle of blond hair, and the smile, and the fact he was winning every weekend.
Years later, I went over to see a much older Charlie Kimbal, as he prepared for the FF2000 race during a CART weekend at Road America. We had a great conversation, and he was certainly on pace with his more experienced team mate at the time, and he was again one we noted to keep an eye on. What a polite, nice, smart articulate young man I thought. Much too smart to be a race driver!
I look forward to getting with him again as the season starts, and would bet the farm that he will win a race, or two. He is fast, savy, and very good on equipment. We'll have to get a story about him on the big board.
Go get'm.
