After making history for being the youngest
driver in Atlantic Series history, John Edwards
struck with a vengeance at Sebring earning his
1st victory after Jonathan Summerton had a
poor start at the lights. Edwards ran away
with a 4.731 victory over Frederic Vervisch.
Summerton takes the last podium spot.

Harald Schlegelmilch and Simona Desilvestro
round up the top 5. Frankie Muniz finished
10th.

A scary incident involved last year's top 2
finishers when Markus Niemela and Jonathan
Bomarito were involved in a crash that caused
Niemela's car to flip. Niemela is ok.

Interesting.....19 cars isnt' all bad. Of course, seeing Muniz get a 10th says to me Ferrari or Roger Penske wont be calling him anytime soon....

Clearly its a weaker field this year, but I've been saying for a while now that John Edwards is the next big thing in AOWR. I hope he wins the championship this year and is able to parlay that into a multi-year contract with at least a mid-tier team in the IRL next year.

He is the exactly the kind of driver we need coming up into the ICS, he's young, talented, experienced, American, fairly good looking, and we really need to bring guys like this into the field and keep them there for a career.
