Does anyone know who is going to present this year's Touring Cars coverage?

Nothing official yet, but I'd expect something soon, what with the season being all of three weeks away. Steve Rider has presented before (on both BBC and ITV) and it would be nice to think they'll let him carry on now there's no F1 on ITV.
But here's a thought to ponder... James Allen's still available... ;)

hopefully we'll have Tim Harvey and Ben Edwards on the commentary again.

I'll be hoping for Steve Rider, with the commentary team remaining the same.

You'll all probably disagree, but I liked James Allen - okay, he was a bit biased sometimes!
Yes, Steve Rider seemed to know a lot about TC when he stood in for Ted, so he'd be a great choice.
I'm sad that the BBC didn't employ her, but Louise Goodman could do TC as well

James Allen would make a decent BTCC commentator IMO.

I'd definitely stick with the current commentary team. They have become a highly professional, polished pairing.

They have employed her.

Oh, I didn't see her on the list of the BBC's team.
(Why does BTCC2's forum post end-slogan read F1 RIP 1950-2008?)
2 of the TC meetings are on at the same time as F1 races.
Who will be watching what, I wonder?!
TC is much more exciting

TC is much more excitingI wish I hadn't bet one of my mates that I would watch all the F1 races live now :( .
I guess BTCC will have to play second fiddle for the first time in 4 years - theres £100 at stake!

How i think it'll end up
PRESENTER: Steve Rider (back where he belongs in my view)
COMMENTATORS: Ben Edwards & Tim Harvey
PIT REPORTER: Louise Goodman

They have employed her.
Did they, haven't the BBC got Lee McKenzie as pit reporter for them?

Not VBH, shes shocking when she used to do it... She just flirts and giggles in her husky voice.

There was a time when I would have watched F1 over TC, but for me, the F1 changes have come a bit too late (and now the Ferrari boss has quit). So, for me, it's TC all the way!

Well, I find F1 and BTCC so completely different it's impossible to compare one over the other really. So lets watch both!

I believe Louise Goodman is still working in F1 (but not on the BBC)
My guess is that everything will remain the same as previous, but Steve Rider will be the anchor.

I think we all know exactly which crashes they're going to pick, but added analysis from other drivers should be very interesting.
My picks are:
Kelvin Burt in '96
Charlie Cox in '95
Tarquinin in '94
Everyone in '07 Brands
Probably the 1992 finale
Keith O'dor's Toca shootout crash
I'd rather something a little less 'car crash tv' (if you'll excuse the pun), but I'll be tuning in anyway.

Shame it wasnt more of a "Thrills and Spills" Special. That way we could see some really amazing racing moments in BTCC History.

I think anything like that is rather tasteless television, to say the least.

It pretty much sums up ITV's opinion on the intelligence of their viewers :\
At least is isn't presented by Ant and/or Dec.
