M5, unfortunately South African Teams are not that big on settting up websites for some reason.

here is VWSA's announcement
http://www.vw.co.za/about/racing/rally

Toyota made an announcement, but i can seem to find it, will look some more and give feedback.

All in all 9 S2000's for the Year, and a further +-7 N4 cars, so its going to be a good year!

Sounds very exciting. Are all 9 S2000 cars either RunX & Polos?

Will be interesting to see the spread of S2000, especially the second hand cars from the IRC & European championships.

thus far yes we only have Run-X's and Polo's VW and Toyota are traditional rivals here.

There was talk at one stage that Fiat may bring in 1 or 2 cars, but it was only a rumour!

I would be good to see the Fiat and Peugoet here against our cars, perhaps 1 or 2 may come out for the Zulu rally, SA;s bid for a round of the WRC. Last year the Fiat that came out did nothing, all the excuses in the world came to defend it, but still i dont think it was up to scratch at that stage.

The same happened to the Gp. N(P) RWD Ford Focus at it's purported first event at Bathurst 2005. Did not even pass scrutineering & was a big embarrassment for the car & team. It did not bode well & did not really improve a great deal over the 2006 season.

Hopefully the Fiesta's prove to be a great big turn around.

Otherwise, I will keep a close eye on the "home" of S2000 rallying in South Africa

Has there been any development on the 2010 Auris ?

How does the Auris match a Fabia or Fiesta in speed pr km SS?

Mirek

Auris never competed against Fabia and only once against Fiesta which was completely new car for it's crew so it wasn't really good comparision.

They are all homologated.

European Polos are already a finished chapter in history of this car. All development is stopped and cars sold to privateers.

Those were SA cars but in SA they don't drive on tarmac. Therefore Rene George Rallysport from Belgium, which brought Polos to Europe, had to develop tarmac specification. Also engines were tunned by Mr. Lehmann in Lichtenstein.
