For the first time in many years, a mixed surface rally makes it's return to the WRC! although in different way from the mixed rallyes featured in the 80's, these time drivers will not have freedom of choice when it comes to tyres.

The rally will be run with the following format:

PLEASE TAKE NOTE ON THE EXTRAORDINARY RALLY FORMAT
Shakedown stage: Greece SS3(Mirrored)
Day 1: Single Rally FRANCE(Mirrored) expert level, GRAVEL TYRES ONLY(Wet gravel tyres can be used in case of rain)
Day 2: Single Rally GREECE(Mirrored) intermediate level

When sending times via the timecard, the MonteCarlo-type timecard should be used.

Deadline for submissions is on Wednesday 18th 15:59 GMT

Have fun and good luck!

(The changes on the rally format were made to reflect the changes made on the real Cyprus rally)

This should be fun!

I enjoy Greece, and France even better.

Good idea, jso1985!

Is anyone out there? :mark:

Yes, I'm running Greece stages. I don't like mirrored rallies, I know quite a good the regular one, then it's hard to find a good rhytm on mirrored... Hope I can find time to do France stages before deadline.

We had a good consistent run troughout the rally, and had no major problems making the transision from asphalt to gravel.

Most of my times were 3-4 seconds off the pace of my (non-mirrored) PBs.

if anyone whises a deadline extension, just let us know here and you will be granted it

I and Eetu has finished the rally. It was difficult to find good rhythm in tarmac with gravel tyres, then I got heavy rain in SS3-4...

Well looking forward to get some points, if the participation is as low as it looks.

Timecard on it's way...Tarmac stages were hard...lost a good 2-3 seconds over my PB's, thought it might be more really but perhaps the physics engine in CMR2 isn't that advanced :D

Gravel stages were more fun!

The same for me, please.

Long enough extension for me, jso1985 (i.e. Central Standard Time)

Thanks

Timecard sent. I don't understand, how you could be just 2-4s slower on mirrored France with gravel tyres. I'm useless on these conditions.

I won't have time to do this one. Sorry. In the present crisis (timewise for me), may be I will focus on IRC this season. I will still do some WRC events, but probably not all of them.

This was a hard rally, had great fun on the gravel stages, but some difficulties on the tarmac stages on the wrong tires. at some points they felt like having grip, but when pushing them on the limit made them understeer heavily. you had to drive them with some caution and then they were fine.

I am very happy with my time. Good thing first day of the rally was on tarmac, because day 2 was not very good.
