Indy Lights contender JR Hildebrand has stepped
into and Indy Car for the 1st time at Sebring
today with team principals AGR watching. He
knew what he expected on the difference of
the car as he climded aboard the #27 car
of Hideki Mutoh.
This is what JR said:
"There isn't any one thing in particular that
a (Firestone Indy Lights) car does differently
than an IndyCar Series car. As a driver, what
makes a car difficult to get used to is when
there is something way different. That's not
the case here. Driving a Firestone Indy Lights
car is a good preparation for driving the Indy
car. I didn't feel uncomfortable. I was able
to get up to speed and that shows that the
series is a good proving ground for anyone who
wants to move up the ladder."
JR will return for testing in April at Kentucky
testing Danica's car.
