Rally Magazines in Europe

I just launched in my country a new magazine mostly dedicated to rallying, but also hillclimbing and track racing. It's the only one of this kind on the market. I was wondering how many rally magazines are published across Europe ? Everyone who knows rally-oriented magazines if invited to name them.

We have several rally-orientated magazines in Belgium, but the most known are probably Turbo-magazine and Autonews-magazine. ;)

In Poland there is one newspaper for a long time on the market - WRC. Last month a new one was launched - Superally.
There were many others, but they didn't make it. The best was "Autosport" (I still miss it, though it also included racing), the rest were: OES, Rajdowiec, Autoklub, Rajdy i Wyścigi...

In Italy are several magazins, my favourite are RallySprint (comes also with the DVD) and TuttoRally.
In this case I will ask German friends to give me folowing answer-what happened wit RallyRacing magazin. I was buying it for more than ten years, until app.year 2000, than it dissapered.....
In Slovenija we have Avtomanija, thay are also writting about WRC and national events....

In Lithuania we have one magazine about autosport,but mostly about rally. It goes on every month and it is free. Magazine named "Autosportas".

I've been trying to find the July 2008 issue of RallySprint as I had heard that they printed an article on the MG S2000 SPORT. Do you know if it is possible to buy old issues anywhere, or do you have a spare issue of this one that I could buy off you?

In Ireland we have Pacenotes rally magazine. This covers events all across Ireland as well as the UK and is purely a rally magazine. It has only been published in a magazine format since the end of last year, prior to that it was published as a rally newspaper.

I am trying to locate a back issue (June/July?) of SAM Rallyes (Italy) from 2005. I believe it contained a photo of Colin McRae driving his Mark 2 Escort as one of the zero cars on the Rally of the Lakes. Can anyone nominate a possible source for back numbers of SAM Rallyes? I have tried the publishers but they cannot help, and I also tried E-bay without success. Would the online bookshop that was previously based behind the pits at Imola (or was it Monza?) be an option?

I did 5 attempts in rally magazine publishing in 2004-2005. As you can guess, the name of the magazine was "RallyRUS" :) Here is the cover of our first issue:

Now in Russia we have one rally magazine, "Free Motion Rally", and I hope they will found way to stay alive during crisis. Here is their site:

We have Rally&Racing, which covers rally-raid and F1 aswell. Haven't seen it this year though, so it might disappear...

In Spain we used to have Todo Rallyes, but they went out business in December... Just like another magazine called Maxi Autosport :(

There's very little choice now: just Auto Hebdo Sport...

I have been subscribing to UK Autosport for many years, but now I am not sure any more. I have taken a subscription on MotorSport News, and they have so much more rally news than Autosport that has 1 or 2 pages a week.

Just looking through this thread after you brought it back up. Every country seems it has at least something but there is NO magazine in the UK dedicated to rallying right now.

I think if there were to be one it would probably on just be an ISC mouthpiece. There was one (I forget the name) that was supposed to be getting released a few years ago but never saw the light of day. Horrible situation.

But Motorsport News is actually very good. You get a lot of rally, and a bit of racing, karting, historic and so on for free !!

Yeah exactly it says everything you need to know about rallying in the UK right now. There is just no demand.

All I can see is that it would take something starting up independently online and then gaining support and growing into something that had advertising potential. I just dont see how a magazine would work in the current climate. You are right though Rallysport is sadly missed.

And M5 you are right. Motorsport News is the best source for rally fans in the UK. Often in Autosport you only get a single page of news. You could tell it was a slow week this last issue because they talked about Alistair McRae getting caught on camera having a slash live on Eurosport for a NiB story.

I'm not sure why I still subscribe to Autosport sometimes.

Good choice M5, thats a great newspaper, covering all motorsports,rally coverage is excellent, no other rally magazines, they seem to come and go, pacenotes for ireland is a brilliant read :)

i agree Simmi, it is sad , having read thru this thread, Europe has rally mags in abundence, compared to U.K , when you consider how much rallying takes palce week in week out in this country, Rally XS was a great read, but you cant beat good old (and long running as motoring news) motorsport news

Can anyone please give me details of how to subscribe to Rallysprint and Tutto Rally magazines produced in Italy?
