Welcome to Oceslaben, Germany for Round 5 of the Formula Plamer Audi World Series. Last round at Zandvort saw Steven Vuko win from his father ,Sloma make a charge through the field to finish 3rd and Muz clash with series debutant Pitor Borkowski.

Peter Vuko now leads the championship despite being yet to win a race with Adam Sloma just 4 points behind. RaikkonenRules is 3rd with alos no wins yet in fact only one podium so far for the English youngster. Muz has now dropped to 4th with the crash at Zandvort adding to his engine failure at Barbegello.

Can Muzmake a comeback today or will Steven Vuko repaet his Zandvort victory, will Peter Vuko finally win his first race or will Adam Sloma have a mistake free race and take the spoils.

Pitor Borkowski is currently an unknown quantity but his Zandvort practice pace was on the leading pace. He could be a challenger for the win this round but like fellow Pole, Sloma he is fast but erratic.

turned my first laps on the demanding german circuit today. mostly I focused on getting to know the track, which I've never ran on before.

by the end of my session I had turned a 1:05.99, good enough for 16th on the codies sight.

I sure hope I can find a way to close the gap to the fab five at this round. I'll be playing with my set-up more than usual here, trying different things and seeing what I can come up with.

Just done some testing on the track, which is quite demanding. Adam Sloma has set the benchmark time on Codemasters and once again the "Flying Pole" is looking good for the front grid. Both Vukos will take up the challenge, and if Muz has sorted out his problems, he should be fast as well.
Raikkonen Rules has yet to be seen at Codies.... c'mon mate, let's see what you got !!

I had a run in these last night, and only managed a 1:07:30. :(

But I reckon on my current set-up I can improve by a second, and maybe more if I find out how to work the gearing. Where does everyone use the boost?

The Vuko's have just put their cars onto the track Oschersleben & have been very impressive. Vuko Snr came out first & did an impressive 1m.03.49. Vuko Jnr struggled in the 1st session & could only manage high 1m.04's. For the first time this season Vuko Snr would not give his set up to his son!! However in session 2 dad relented & gave the vital set up info to his son. The result was Vuko Jnr absolutely blitzing the track with a 1m.02.91. This will be hard to beat. Any takers??

Hey does this mean you might be coming back. Go on you know you want to. :D

The cars are all out in force for Rd 4. Here are the top 6 positions so far:
1. S.Vuko 1m.02.91
2. A.Sloma 1m.03.38
3. P.Borkowski 1m.03.39
4. P.Vuko 1m.03.48
5. BobZee 1m.03.72
6. J.Shell 1m.05.99
The time of Vuko Jnr will be hard to beat - breaking into the 2's. Of course race times won't be near these as these have been achieved with soft tyres & 4 boosts. I think race times will be around the high 04's & 05's to be competitive. Still waiting to see some times from R/Rules, Muz.....

Oh sorry, Deadline Friday February 23 20:00 GMT

The Vuko boys have taken positions 1 & 2 on the grid for the Rd5 with Vuko Snr jumping over the two Polish drivers with a very quick 1m.03.24. Vuko Jnr still holds pole with that remarkable 1m.02.91
Vuko Snr's time will not appear on Codies because Vuko Jnr's time is the fastest & therefore gets the code # - you will have to trust me!!

Very hot lap times set by the Vukos !! The FPA results are among the very few which can be trusted and are a true reflection of the driver's ability, due to the boost function being a legitimate part of the series.
Disappointing to see that some drivers have as yet NOT put in their best lap times on Codies. This would make for even more interest! So, how about it, Raikkonen, Foxy, Real, Alfa, Craig???

I'd put my times up but I don't want to be ashamed. :o

You really need a good steering wheel to be cometitive in these (unlike DTM, Clio's, Britsh GT) . I think my 1:02 laps at Silverstone was impressive considering I was using a standard controller.

However at most other tracks i'm 3-5seconds off the pace

Adam Sloma

1. S.Vuko 1m.02.91
2. A.Sloma 1m.02.95
3. P.Vuko 1m.03.24

I finally fix my PC, but have only 256Mb RAM. In time triall game works good, but on my old setup i cant beat even my times. I must change car settings to get close Steven. But in the race, when the other cars are in front of me, game works with amazing speed 10 fps, and its almoust imposible to drive. I dont know if I can reach the finish.

For this series do we just PM fastest lap and overall time to RaikkonenRules?

Brown, Jon Brow

Yes, but I think you can do a qualifying lap by going entering a time in the codies hall of fame.

Johny Shell has serious engine trouble!!

Gives his persuers a great opportunity!

Kentucky Fried Racing driver Johnny Shell has been experiencing serious engine trouble this week and has been unable to practice his car in race trim at all. His last laps came in qualifying last week.

His porblems are now sorted out, and he will be able to run the race, but with no practice on his race set up and with no practice laps turned in over a week.

it's going to be guess on a race set up, get in the car, make a few shakedown laps, then run the race.

it will be a grea opportunity for Real Illusions and the others chasing him in the championship to gain some ground.

will the be able to capitalize?

we'll find out tomorrow!

Before the season took off, I put down an entry as "Rickupinoft" but never made it to a race since. You can replace that entry with the above one. I re-installed the game yesterday but for some weird reason, my save game got deleted (I certainly didn't delete it!). If I can find the file (might be stored somewhere on my computer), I will be able to race soon enough. Otherwise, I will firstly have to unlock the Palmer Audi series.

I won't be racing at all the rounds anyway but should make a good few because I have more spare time than I had up to a few weeks ago. :)

Hello and welcome to Round 5 of the 2007 FPA World Series. I'm sorry to say this round sees the smallest grid of the season so far as Muz, Pitor Borkowski and Alpha Fan have failed to show for the race. Fortunately Jon Brown has made an unexpected return to the series.

Steven Vuko lines up on pole today with Adam Sloma alongside. Peter Vuko is third with BobZee 4th, RaikkonenRules 5th and Neil Adams 6th. Then Johnny Shell, Real Illusions and Jon Brown who all failed to set a time.

It's go and Steven holds the lead from Sloma. Peter is third with RR slipping into fourth from BobZee then Shell, Brown, RI and then Adams who brings up the rear.

Lap 3-Sloma makes a move on Steven for the lead and makes it through, the Pole then builds up a lead and dissapears into the distance. Jon Brown meanwhile runs into Shell and barrell rolls. Somehow he manages to keep going minus a rear wing but he's now last.

Lap 8-Sloma has a 6 second lead over Steven Vuko. He comes up to lap Neil Adams but the Brit turns in on him knocking off the Pole's front wing. Sloma nows limps to the finish but is only 1/2 second slower than the Vuko's. Jon Brown has amasingly made it back up to 7th.

Lap 11-Peter Vuko passes Steven for 2nd and starts hunting down Sloma. RR is still in touch in 4th less than a second back. BobZee is a few seconds behind in 5th.

Lap 13-Jon Brown's right rear tyre has a punture and he is left limping to the finish.

Final Lap-Peter has caught Sloma as the pair catch RI and the struggling Jon Brown. They usev up exactly the wrong part of the track and Sloma is held up allowing Peter to pass him on the last corner. Peter wins by 1/2 second over Sloma. Steven Vuko finishes 3rd 3 secs down with RR right behind. BobZee is 5th with Johnny Shell yet again the last car on the lead lap.

BTW the qualifiing top 3 was:
1. A.Sloma 1m.02.75
2. S.Vuko 1m.02.91
3. P.Vuko 1m.03.24

I must find the sponsor, cos with only 256Mb RAM I dont have chance at Norisring.

At last a win in this series - I don't feel so bad about leading the series now!! That was close!! That last lap was very difficult - hitting the traffic again - I lost 2 secs on that lap - I did a 1m.06.5. Vuko Jnr faired even worse - we were dead equal coming into the last lap, Steven however collected the back end of J.B & as a result was relegated to 3rd. Now I'm off to Adelaide!

Neil Adams

i reckon there should a separate cup for those of us without steering wheels!!
