Great news. Wilson, RHR, and Tracy are the 3 I've been hoping would get a ride this season. With this, I'm fairly confident at least 2 out of the 3 will be on the grid April 5. Hunter Reay is in talks with HVM, and Tracy with KV, so it could happen.

by far the best news this offseason so far IMO

Hopefully they can keep Junqueira on board too - then they might be able to run up at the front!

Good luck to them!!

I think that Wilson was the main driver that I'd be upset about the series losing, and that's got nothing to do with where he's from, he's just one of the best drivers, so it'll be really good if this does come together. It'd be great if Junqueira was in the second car, but he's probably had his best days.

I'd still be annoyed if Servia's missing though.

The best news I've heard so far this pre-season.
Hopefully other drivers like Servia,Tracy and RHR make it on the grid aswell.
Keep your fingers crossed guys..

That's cool, Justin deserves to race, hopefully he will be able to compete with the top teams. Now, as the others said, bring back RHR and PT.

If Dale finds enough sponsorship to run two quality drivers by a world class engineer in 2009, then Bobby Rahal should seriously consider approaching his sales person. However, Dale seems to be willing to spend his own money, too.

Rahal should also consider spending some of his own dime too. That's what a real owner does.

this may turn out to be a good year yet.

It will be a good year whatever happens. Any year that has AOWR, in my opinion, is a good year. The racing will be good whether the men we want in the series are there or not.

Unfortunatley, I believe BR had/has a lot of his personal interests in his automobile dealerships. Not exactly a booming business these days. His dimes may be pennies right now.

If that's true, that's too bad. Not the smartest idea to put all your eggs in one basket though. But that is his money to with as he pleases. Too bad he didn't do something like Paul Newman, where he kept money to run his team when he neeeded it.

Maybe so, but a 40+ year academy award winning acting career probably paid a little better than Bobby's racing career, as successful as it was. I don't know what Bobby's connection to Rahal foods is. PN used who he was to get the sponsors. It was a rare company not wanting to be afilliated with PN. i don't know how much of his personal money was actually spent at NH, but I douby it was ever primary funding. Now his personal racing was probably a different story. Look at what NHL is doing for sponsorship already in his absence. They were NEVER a ride buyer's outfit. Bobby draws from a whole different crowd than PN did. Damn I miss his presence in racing already.

Congrats to Dale on a great choice. The match up with Pappas as an engineer could make them a viable team for the others.

Agreed, and I doubt that the testing times had anything to do with the speed they will have this year. Once they have two cars on track and 2 strong drivers, they could jump into the mid pack of teams.

Has Coyne's team ever won a race before? I think they haven't but I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head. I ask because there is a real possibility of that this year. Obviously they are unlikely to do the stuff week-in, week-out, and contend for the championship, but especially on road courses I wouldn't put it past Wilson. And if Junqueira stays they'll have one of the strongest driver line-ups out there.

Scored a second place with Bruno in '07 at Zolder.........had three podium finishes that year.

No first place yet, but one of the most loyal and giving owners I've seen. An owner passionate about racing.

All the best to Wilson and Coyne, but if I were DC there'd be no way that I'd retain Bruno. He had some pretty awful comments about their efforts last year. Give Oriol the seat or maybe even John Andretti. That guy deserves a shot again this year.
