This story wasn't new, I read last week paper about the similar story. A women had her ATM card swallowed by the machine, While she was nervous she went out of the ATM room looking for help or trying to contact the bank. When she got back to the ATM she found technician, bank officer who was checking money in the machine supposedly, give her the swallowed card.

What a shocking when she checked the account someone withdrawn more than half of her total amount in the bank. The chance is not more than fifty-fifty that She may be able to sort out the problem telling the bank the chronologies, but it obviously will need energy, spend her time, and quite a mental therapy.

I experienced once and get it back safe, asked the bank to block my account although it didn't have too much balance to steal from. :D

How have you been dealing with ATM and saving money safely?

Well, I have never used my ATM card and saved money - I always drew money out and spent it. :(

You can also use an ATM to deposit money, that would be saving ;)

In the past 10 or so years, I have never had sufficient cash to deposit it - but I suppose, for those who go to the races and have a good day, then depositing the money before you leave the track might be a great idea.

Perhaps to deposit our money not only in one account or bank, which we and they can put enough trust each other, would be relatively safe.

We never hope anything worse to happen, but if accident like above story had to happen, it will not send us to the fatal bankruptcy.

Correct. I find an ATM card provides a poor return on investment :mark:
