Looks like he's got some sponsorship money and may be taking it to Rahal or KV, according to our friend here in Indy, Curt Cavin. As you guys may know, I'm a Scheckter fan, mostly because of his aggressive nature and ability to do a lot with a little, plus I just loved his performance in last year's 500 until he broke a half shaft. (Yes he makes mistakes, like all racers do, for which I got grilled about one time here for complaining when Matos got his ride :s mokin :) But to me, he's like Paul Tracy was when he got started in IndyCars. It's good to see a long time veteran back with the possibility of a ride. I've met him a few times, a really genuinly nice guy.

Nice is not one of the first words I'd use to describe Scheckter, but I agree he's talented and an exciting driver to watch. It sounds like he's got a couple mill to bring to a team. If he ran an all oval season and translated that into a full schedule next year, I'd be very pleased. Particularly if it keeps a team like RLR in the series. Scheckter is one of those guys that was always on the cusp of an Indy win, so I definitely hope he'll be there.
