Fabia WRC would have been a very good car, when prepared by right team and driven by good drivers (not that Garde sucks, but he has lacked that something "special").

Really good performance from PG! :)

Link on "split times" is index.jsp?lnk=409&season=2009&rally_id=N, which is exactly the same as page URL as well. It's possible to do frame refresh programmatically but that doesn't do it. So it's the same load for web server.

Yes it checked it, it is the same, but somehow it refreshes only google adds and split times tab from server and takes other stuff (side tab and upper tab) from your computer temp. At the same time when you use ctrl+r it loads those upper and side tabs again. I noticed it during rally Ireland when I was using very, very slow dial up connection.. it made a big difference.

Yes, we saw it in Japan 2005 and in Australia in the same year in the hands of Colin McRae. I have heard that schwartz always wanted the car to be very hard in the suspension, is that true? he had a very big influence on the Skoda team`and that maybe is an explination about why it is so fast when drivers who wants a softer setup drives it..?

Not necessarily, if the road surface is grinded to a soft pulp, it's much slower than hard icy surface on 1st run.

I believe his Fabia recently went back to MB for a rebuild, maybe 'new' Skoda Motorsport does a better job with the old car too.

Hirvonen, however, insisted the switch was unintentional. “My rear tyres are completely finished - I tried really hard,” he said. “We had a lot more tyre wear than the Citroens. I’m missing lots of studs. This is definitely not what I wanted to do. Now we have a lot to make up. It’s going to be a big fight tomorrow.” .

turning the Top 10 list upside down makes the "bottom end", if you may, of this Top 10 even less competitive in the next day because of preforming road sweeping functions for the leaders. It would be much more exciting and interesting to see guys fighting back from 7th, 9th or what ever position to the top with equal chances and conditions as leading drivers. Awarding points for each day's Top 3 would enable amuch bigger motivation for the teams to fight every day, not only to get to the end. That is, of course, my opinion on this. And Pshycho! is right - this is a topic for a new thread. :)

Andis Neiksans is showing good performance in PWRC and that is really pleasing. :)

P.S. SubaruNorway - Latvians are already waiting for Your video from today's stages :D

Wow, really nice to see the stage wins of Andersson. Very happy with it.

I think Mikko made a wrong choise with this tactics. When you are first on the road, it is even good as Loeb showed this morning. There isn't snow expected and Mikko had 7,3 seconds advance and he lost it with this tactics.

Nothing special in top 4, but I gotta say that I'm as impressed about P-G's pace as everyone else in here. What an awesome speed. Hopefully he stays on the road and Skoda will come to the finish in one piece.

i am really no fan of Loeb or Citroen, but under this circumstances i hope he will win also in norway.

I think that there are no advantage tomorrow to be second on the road. Even there might be some advantage to be first on the road. I am quite sure that Mikko didnt loose that time intentionally. If you have some studs missing then that is already very big disadvantage.. that actually means the others are already moving and grip level goes down almost exponentially.
Those official press releases.. dont belive those. These are written by PR people and mostly drivers does not even know what they were "saying" there

Generally Ford is good at handling this kind of situations, I mean Ford Management tell the drivers what to say to press but this time they did a mistake. Mikko did 2 different speeches!

Giving different speeches is a mistake but also getting slower for the tomorrow's road position is another mistake I believe.

I am a big fan of Mikko, I hope Mikko will win, but today, Mikko and the team made me sad! This wasn’t necessary.

bluuford - see wrc.com!

I still believe that those words were put into Mikko´s mouth. He was just that much slower on that stage. if you make calculations then you can see that even without slowing he would have lost his lead very narrowly. It wont be disadvantage tomorrow to start first on the road. And I believe that Loeb wanted to be the first.
Anyway, which team admits that they just got beaten on the last stage.. big time!

Tomorrow: Cold and sunny

It is all about stewards. In regulations is, that drivers with "2 priority" must start in the first group, but stewards can make a decision and give him lower... I think this should be better for everybody - spectators, Sandell and also Boland (now he is afraid, if anybody wont catch him on stage).
