What did you guys do for Australia Day? Reason im asking because i asked this same question to many customers at work yesterday (boredom makes you do that), and their response was all the same. BBQ and socialise with a few drinks, perhaps with the Hottest 100 and the cricket match involved?

So did anyone hear do anything completely and utterly different? Cause I did the same thing as, seemingly, everyone else :p :

WEnt to mates house Oz day Bbq, chilled in his pool all day drinkin XXXX, listening the hottest 100, leaving the pool only when i needed to eat, pee or check the cricket score

Can Australia day be summed up with beer, bbq, cricket, backyards and the hottest 100?

I played in an 8-a-side cricket tournament, run by the local council, went home to see the Bogans in green get their arses handed to them on a plate by the Yarpies, whilst the whole day was fueled by lamb sandwiches and Cooper's Sparkling.

Can Australia day be summed up with beer, bbq, cricket, backyards and the hottest 100?

We did the usual, BBQ, Beer and Rotisserie with Beef, Lamb and Pork. Way too much food for all of us. Was a great day had by all. Picked up a naming rights sponsor for my Rally as well :)

I sat in front of the computer all day. Not because I wasn't unpatriotic or anything, but my foot had swollen up and wasn't able to walk. Luckily it's starting to go down a bit now, but them's the breaks.

How different was that? :p :

I pass the Australian Embassy in London every day and yesterday it was resplendent with every flagpole flying quite large flags... in the evening the place was crawling with people for a Ball of some kind...

I noticed also that the embassy car parked out front was a grey BMW 7 series LWB with the registration tag 'AUS 1'
