There are Focus WRC cars all over the place, but very few Citroens that have moved into private hands.

Where are they all, and in particular the cars used by Kronos that are the most updated?

The C4s from 08 i guess the juniors will use this year but where are the first batch?

They dont make as much cars as Subaru or Ford, they continuously upgrade their cars

But when they finish with one car for good (when C4 is established and Xsara is outdated) they slowly sell their Xsaras several Xsaras are in Italy, one in Lithuania,...

M-Sport and Prodrive live of selling and repairing cars, they are an private team, non works factories.

Take a look at my site. I haven`t update it for a long time but you can see some interesting info.

Xsara WRC: http://www.wrcnotes.ru/wrc/notes.html

There was 31 chassis of Xsara WRC`s.
7 of them was destroyed.
1 sold to Lithuania (Deividas Jocius).
2 sold Italy (first in VieffeCorse Team, second in G.M.A. Racing)
2 now in museum
Others - ???

C4 WRC: http://www.wrcnotes.ru/c4wrc/notes.html

I think for the moment there are 20-25 chassis.

1 of them destroyed.
1 in Italy (rumors).
2 in PH-Sport.
Others - ???

20-25 C4's? Wow, that's much. Especially considering the lifetime of the Xsara and then compared to how long we've had the C4.

If you'd read urabus's post you'd know why....

The first Xsara WRC was built in 01.05.1999 & the last was built in 27.02.2004 = 4 years and 9 month.

The first C4 WRC was built in 08.2004 & today is 01.2009 = 4 years and 5 month.

Almost the same ;)

Were the cars built on the original Kit car shape Xsara ever rallied? I remember seeing test cars but don't remember seeing them rallied, or perhaps I remember them being rallied in France. Bah..... it was so long ago....

No. There was 11 Xsara kit-car`s: chassis numbers from N601 to N612.
And Xsara WRC`s (as Xsara T4/FRC) was built for test purpose and has been rallied in France in 2000.

Sorry what I meant to say was "Were the Xsara T4's built before the facelift ever rallied" I didn't mean to suggest they were converted from kit cars to T4's :)

From the second part of your post I take that as a yes though?

Xsara`s before facelift were used only in French rally championship (tarmac & gravel).

Thanks :) Pity that the Xsara T4 got killed for a bit of time and didn't get to debut in the WRC with that shape :(

Nope. Several Xsaras and C4s are used for Rallycross, but they are all build up from the bottom according to RX rules.

Quote from the FIA RX rules, note the first brackets:

Division 1: Touring cars
Homologated in Group A (kit car and world rally car excluded) or in
Supertouring and conforming to Appendix J Group A (Articles 251
to 255), the modifications listed in Articles 2 and 3 below are permitted.

And 1998 as well, for some tarmac rallies like Catalunya and Corsica, Puras & Bugalski...

Those were kit cars. I'm talking about 4wd turbo cars with the same body shape as the ki car.

Thats means that in four months time they will start building their C3 super 2000 car,

by that time the manu championship will be won already ;)
