Umm they just got it, the first thing you do is see if it WORKS! Why wrap it in cool paint scheme (no painting actually happens anymore) when all sponsors haven't been finalized and when the car is roughly 10-15 days old!

I don't believe this is the same car shown on the internet testing in Germany, this is newly built car just for RLR.

With BMW staying in WTCC, the only question is which drivers will be in the ALMS and which in the WTCC.

Isn't white tradition colour of BMW/Germany?

Well the WTCC cars, well the works ones anyway, are 90+% white with some stripes...

i think there traditional colours are white, blue and red.

Historically, German cars raced in white livery, until the change to silver for whatever reason is true. BMW, on the other hand, races in some combination of white, blue, and red. (E.g., the F1 team today, the WTCC cars as pointed out by an earlier post.)

In the wake of Honda's withdrawal from F1 and Audi's decision to limit their sports car participation to Sebring and LeMans for 2009, BMW's commitment to the ALMS is the only good piece of motorsport news recently. I hope they enjoy success.

The colours used previously on this side o'the pond would be fine for me:

Here are some fresh images. Not much change in livery, but notice that the front winglets are missing.

I love it. I'll miss the I6 m3 but a v8 will do just fine.

I still wonder what could have been if BMW used the 335is with turbos for its GT2.

According to Autosport mag the M3 looks like it will homogolate into the LMS/ACO GT2 rules with some additional mods. One of them being a smaller rear wing - current one looks like GT1 spec.

The looks of the M3 should be the least of RLR's worrys , as they found there car with the ALMS restrictor is stupid slow . Under review is the possibility of a higher than rule tollerance wing , revised from stock rear suspention mounting points , and a rearward moved V8 . "Other ALMS GT2 competators" having sniffed this possible relaxing of standards for the Bimmer have put there plans for partisipation " under review ". Also, as sponsorship for one car has been secured so far , offically only one car has been signed up fo competition .
