Yes folks it's here again, the 2008 Rallye Des Femmes to be held in Canberra on Saturday the 6th December.

The event is only for female drivers is run over 7 Special Stages comprising of 87km competitive. Famous stages such as Greenhills, Bluetts and East West are being used.

The Service park and main spectator point is at Deeks Forest Carpark on the corner of Cotter Rd and Uriarra Rd.

Clerk of Course is forum regular TKM and I'm doing event secretary and Zero car codriver.

We still need quite a few officials so if you are in Canberra or Sydney and could spare a Saturday to some girls having fun in the forest let me know.

I will be lending my WRC Charade to local Radio host Lisa Ridgley who will be codriven by my regular codriver Andrew Buerckner.

Should be a great compact event, hoping for a field of over 20 cars.

The event has been run adn won, with Cathy Donohue and Kate Bowler winning in a Lancer Evo 8. Molly Taylor was 2nd in the Mazda 2 with Kelly Caruana 3rd in a Commodore V8.

The Charade decided that it didn't want to play after stage 4 with Crank pulley bolt snapping. Hopefully the engine will be ok. Lisa was driving well and improving on each stage up until the car stopped.

Was a great event with plenty of smiles all round.

There are plenty of photos up already.

I was in Zero car codriving for Tristan Kent.

There were a few crashes including a rollover by 000 on the first stage and a rollover by Cheryl in the Camira on the last stage, but she managed to finish the stage and not finish last.

There will be a full report on radio station Mix 106.3 in Canberra on Monday morning after 8.30am

The Mazda 2 is showroom spec, basically a standard car with a cage and underbody protection.

Molly was saying she needed more power!!

Sounds like it was alot of fun yet again Ray.

Still trying to work on obtaining that rallying harem?

Too bad the Daihatsu WRC car (cough, cough, splutter, cough) failed to make it all the way through.
