Well.. From last year I can remember that Novikov was the one who used all the road and a bit more :-) and on the jumps he was complete lunatic.
This year Ott Tänak was even more spectacular and he managed to get very good results (winning 4 out of 7, one four place and 2 third places).
In WRC Urmo Aava and Per Gunnar Andersson were defenitely very agressive:-)

Mitja Slejko is the Slovenian 2008 division 2 champion. He drives a Renault Clio N3 and he is by one word insane!!!!
He is often called the "Slovenian Jean Ragnotti".

Here are some videos from 2 rallies,Postojna and Pićan.It is only a small part of what he has shown. This is not all attractive material but some of it is spectacular.I plan to make an best-of Mitja Slejko but I have problems with my compilation program so I cant guarantee when, but if I do make it it is going to be spectacular

Szabó Gergő springs in my mind when it comes to speed AND spactacular style in Hungary :) He's driven lot of cars in his career and he was fast with all of them, like Golf kit-car, corolla wrc, octavia wrc, focus wrc and lately evo9. He even came 2nd in this year's romanian championship and plans to compete Rally Norway next year.

1st Henri Toivonen, for his speed and daring
2nd Sebastian Loeb ,the best all round current driver
3rd Walter Rohl ,for the way he came to do the Manx in a private Porsche in the early 80s,with a small service crew,No recce and still finished 2nd to Pond, and that was only because of the last stages being at night
4th Hannu Mikkola for being a nice guy .

I am a bit surprised that anyone is mentioning Röhrl in this thread. He was brilliant, but spectacular? Certainly no more so than anyone else of his era. In fact, I'd say he was more controlled, and thus less spectacular, than most — certainly when compared to people like Toivonen and Vatanen.

At the last Rally NZ, Loeb was the most spectacular.

He always seemed to be on the edge of control in a way the Fords and Sordo didn't, slid more than most (probably due to running on the loose gravel) and jumped the highest, with only Hirvonen, Latvala and Duval comparable. He seemed to be visibly fastest.

And I'm not a particularly big Loeb fan. I've just had to grudgingly respect him for what he's done.

Didier Auriol I think is overlooked nowdays both as a driver and especially as a spectacular driver. His all or nothing agressive approach was crazy and beautiful.. allways flicking the car on loose surfaces.

Pushing hard meant going a bit too fast over jumps and throu corners. Finland 1993 comes to mind when he tries to catch Vatanen and Kankkunen.

I think it's time to end all the speculations over that hairpin :D here you are the "truth" from an early 2006 Gigi's interview:

Q: "Looking at some movies on your site, one of them is very spectacular, where you seem to make a spin and instead you’re making a hairpin very close to a pole and a car…"

G: "I don’t know, it was not me driving that car… He was another man, another Galli ! Anyway there are some situations when you need to improvise and in that situation, where we had snow tyres on the tarmac, with a nails line in the internal part, the car suddenly lost the grip because of a little bump and in less than a second I thought to be too long. The first thing I thought was to pull the handbrake. The car was sliding on her left so I thought that the only hope we had was to crash with the rear part saving the front part with engine, radiator… And the instinct made me to “paint” the hairpin (he also used the reverse gear NDR). But I must be sincere, it was a very lucky working…"

ps. It's Vittorio Caneva :)

Bertie Fisher driving night stage in the Manx, but I can't find any online video. Armin Schwarz was spectacular, he is all out all the time than steady so he didn't finish so many rallies. I like some of Jan Kopecky tarmac driving too. Ofcourse my fav right now is Jari. It's sort of a trade off, because it's hard to have a driver that is consistent and spectacular at the sametime, even Gigi is forced to drive clean.

Röhrl - Audi quattro through 1000 Lakes :D you probably mean Stiq Blomqist, he was probably the most sideway driver I've seen. Rohrl was one of the neater driver of the time and people compare Loeb driving to his.

Loeb - best driver of all time. most boring driver of all time. also add sebastian ogier and daniel sordo to that list.

I saw that one from the coverage, he was really going fast in the last leg, it blew me away that he beat latvala. It's probably one of the moment he put risk into his driving to get the win, I remember the other time was the end of Turkey if I remember correctly until the tires wore off. Of the drivers I´ve seen live Ari and Colin are the easy choices as the most spectacular ones, especially Colin could always try a bit different line compared to the rest of the pack. But comparing Didi´s style to today´s borefest driving styles, he was quite a treat to watch as well.
