Interesting news here, does anyone know anything about it, heard any specs? Surprised that the factory Honda engine boys at HPD aren't mentioned - do you think they helped behind the scenes or was this solely a private venture?
Good for the independents to get out there with the new engine, this makes a change from the push-rod variety and nice to see a new manufacturer being represented in these dark days of dome and gloom!

From another site: "The Honda engine is a production based 24 valve, DOHC V6, displacing 3.9 liters." At 3.9L under the current rules it isn't limited in compression ratio or air intake, although it is constrained to maintain characteristics of the production engine it is based on, just as the other engines are. My guess would be that HPD isn't involved much, if at all. The only prush-rod engine in DP is the GM/Pontiac, as it's based on the LS2/LS6.

In a related note, Level Five and Dinan are reportedly (from a team member) investigating/working-on getting a Ferrari engine approved for DP as well.
