Hi,

On friday will be published the official entrylist of the last round of the french tarmac championship and according latest rumour it should be one of the best ever in France :bounce:

Many non-french drivers would be awaited especially Belgians and Swiss...

The names I have read are:
-Bruno Thiry(Subaru Impreza Diesel as "00" driver)
-Freddy Loix(Mitsubishi Lancer GrN)
-Timothy van Parijs(Fiat Grande Punto S2000)
-Pieter Tsjoen(Ford Focus WRC)
-Kris Princen(Renault Clio R3)
-Olivier Burri(Fiat Grande Punto S2000)

And a few others...

I hope the rumours are true...can someone on the forum tell me

I heard also about Sarrazin in C4 WRC and Loeb with his wife in C2 S1600.

Timothy Van Parijs, Pieter Tsjoen and Kris Princen are confirmed. I don't know about Bruno Thiry, Freddy Loix and Olivier Burri. I would be surprised if Loix take part to this rally, because he said Condroz Rally was the last rally of this season for him.

No chance for Sarrazin, he will drive the 207 RC as on the Criterium des Cevennes ;)

I confirm the presence of Loeb on C2 S1600

Next year in France(and in Italy)there will be a Subaru Cup with Impreza and diesel engines, it's official, and that car will run as "00" at the Rallye du Var this year, Urabus ;)

As Renault Sport Technology is organizing a real Clio R3 Cup for the final event of french championship, a few other names of non-french drivers who will take part to the event: Alessandro Bettega, Andrea Torlasco, Gilles Schammel, Joan Vinyes,...

I don't forget Karl Friedrich Beck and Laurent Reuche for the last event of the 206 Cup neither...

Looks fantastic the number of foreign drivers we will have :bounce: :bounce:

Oh,no...
Well they are sponsoring quite often the new Subaru Boxer Diesel,so there is no better way to prove it then on a rally....
But a diesel Subaru... :(

Mirek
20th November 2008, 13:45
Instead of making good production car they spend money for incompetitive diesel (I mean in N4 class)? Strange...

Tom206wrc
20th November 2008, 16:18
In fact according to latest rumours it would be Brice Tirabassi who drives the Subaru diesel Cup...so no idea if Bruno Thiry will really take part to the event

Is Vigion the guy who drove the Yacco Clio Maxi?

Yep, Vigion also won the Finale de la Coupe de France des rallyes last month ;)

No doubt he's my fav' for the Trophée BFGoodrich on this event, ahead of the Kit-cars and Mauffrey's Ford Escort Cosworth :p :

Big fight to wait in the 206 Cup between Millet and Reuche who can both win the championship overall
I hope Karl-Friedrich Beck can get a podium too ;)

On thursday evening I'll try to post informations and pics of shakedown...

CRAZY !!!!! Brunson went off the road on last stage and his Subaru Impreza WRC caught fire   :s

Dany Snobeck in the Bozian whale is new french tarmac rallies champion...

All drivers following him drive slowly after Brunson incident...end of rally then(Vigion is 2nd overall for his first outing in the S2000, Loeb is third,...)

I would have wished another end of rally :(

By the way, Patrick Snijers won the VHC by 1.7s in front of Hervé Guignard :D

Tom206wrc
30th November 2008, 09:39
Final classification with notional times should give:

1-Snobeck, 307 wrc(championship winner)
2-Vigion, 207 s2000(trophée BFGoodrich winner)
3-Loeb, C2 s1600
4-Canivenq, 207 s2000
5-Roche, Impreza wrc
6-Salanon, 306 maxi(2nd trophée BFGoodrich)
7-Boetti, 306 maxi(3rd trophée BFGoodrich)
8-Robert, Clio R3(winner international Clio R3 Cup)
9-Greiffenberg, 207 s2000(4th trophée BFGoodrich)
10-Mauffrey, Escort Cosworth(5th trophée BFGoodrich)
...

Tom206wrc
30th November 2008, 09:41
Franck Vericel should win the rally in the 206 Cup, followed by Swiss Laurent Reuche and Pascal Mackerer...

By finishing 4th overall, Denis Millet should be the 2008 206 Cup winner...

VFTS
30th November 2008, 10:43
Valter Jensen from Norway secured third overall in the historic Rally. And because he came in front of Bianchini in this rally he is the winner of FIA European Historic Rally Championship 2008!
