it seems that MotoGP will be ridden on the same time as Formula one, can't they move it later on the day (as F1 is still exciting when it comes to the points)?
Think Casey can do good here with the 2 straights... Somehow I expect something from Elias.
We'll see..

Good post from 'The K Man' ...
Bloody Puig, wish he would F off to be honest, he's a blight on Mini P...
If it was actually even possible, the atmosphere in the Repsol Honda team continues to decline. At the pre-race press conference, Nicky Hayden was asked about the comments Alberto Puig had made in an interview with MotoGP.com, in which Puig claimed that Hayden couldn't set up a bike and was upset about the wall down the garage because it prevented the American from seeing Dani Pedrosa's data.
Hayden responded that he didn't "want to go back into having a cat and fight with words, back and forth with this guy and defend everything he said." But he stood by his assertion that Puig basically ran the HRC team. "I'm not even sure what I said once it got translated. I think I said something just about the fact that Puig basically runs our team, runs HRC at the moment. I really believe that. I do think Yamano has done a great job as a team manager. That guy is in a tough, tough spot! I know he's got a lot of heat coming at him from all directions, so that's basically what I said. I need to quit being a hypocrite, I guess!"
But the Kentuckian did make his anger clear at Puig's assertions about Hayden's dislike of the wall, and the lack of data sharing. "That wall I couldn't care less about. It doesn't even faze me one little bit," Hayden said on the subject of the wall. But it was Puig's claims about data sharing that were the focus of most of Hayden's wrath: "Some of the stuff he says is a joke about sharing data and that's why I'm mad. I haven't seen his data for a long time. The truth is he sees everybody's data, so lets be clear about that. If it's me going fastest or Dovizioso going fastest, he sees everything."
The situation is not helped by Nicky Hayden's recent run of form. Since his team mate switched to Bridgestones, the American has scored two podiums and outscored Pedrosa by 47 to 24. With Sepang a track at which Pedrosa does well, that situation may change. But with Hayden using the extra power of the pneumatic valve engine to good effect, it will be a close run thing.

It looked Pedrosa on tyres switch in the middle of season was decision made in a rush, We may see Rossi was struggling early this season on the new tyres, there might be possibility that Pedrosa experiences the same.
It would be wise more to make the switch until the season ends although it will go automatically as a result of single tyres rule. Pre season tests will give sufficient room for him to make adjustment. While Hayden using the old tyres only needs to stay on top of the improved performance of Honda. He has contributed a title for Honda, the climbing curve at the end of the season seems to be a good farewell both for him and Honda.
Puig's accusation could be something visible Trough the Looking Glass, Hayden has responded according to his own, but seems the poor performance of his rider lately was a consequence of the decision to be Falling in Between ...

Edwards responding to pressure from Yamaha perhaps?
Good to see Westy tin on Hopper :D
Sky TV in NZ are not broadcasting the Sepang round live (a start time of 4pm NZ) and have scheduled just over an hour of delayed coverage at midnight, so that will be the motogp but no 125 or 250.

At least you can blame the tv networks!! I have to go to a wedding on Saturday, therefore no qualifying!! and then on Sunday a Christening, so no 125 and 250 at least but hopefully I'll get to see the race!!
What a weekend!! and not a motogp fan amongst them all!!

Now that Westy has a ride sorted for next year, hopefully he can repeat his performance leading up to the race from last year. And then , without the grid mix up of last year, do very well as he would have done last year!!
He'll beat Hopper home!!
Go Westy!!

not a single post.. even the Rossi fans are not interested anymore :p
I was really impressed by Dovi today (for the first time this season) he was really agressive and strong on the brakes, bit like Rossi is..

I was also excited to see Dovi get onto the podium - I was rooting for Hayden but in the last lap I suddenly couldn't decide which one I wanted to get third :) Good display of controlled aggression from both of them. I'd have liked to have seen Hayden beat Dovi and maybe at Valencia snaffle 5th overall from him in his last year with Puig, oops I mean HRC.
Pedrosa acknowledged that 'Rossi is able to find a bit more in the race than in practise', man that must frustrate ALL of them when they think they have good race pace...

This weekend's races weren't the best I think we'll all admit, but at least Marco got a well-deserved title boxed off.
-------------
The two big stories this weekend are the passing of Dieter Stappert http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/71507 - who had a long association with both bike and car racing and will be much missed.
And to end on a lighter note, this: http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2008/Marco+Simoncelli+features+in+Italian+Vanity+Fair

I'm interested but it is getting a tad boring isn't it!! There is no "real " racing these days..
And I had to spend the weekend at family events and missed the bl**dy race when Dovi gets a 3rd!!! All these years a Dovi fan and the day he cracks teh podium!! I'm at a christening!!!

Thought the main event was ok, Rossi was allways lining up Pedrosa for the pass and once he went past that was it, Stoner well considering he was riding with one apparently believe of that what you will LOL. Glad Pedrosa is starting to realise how good the doctor is. A big shout for Dovi, now he really could be someone who could give Rossi a good fight and take over from him when the great man retires.
:D :D :D
