Looks like Neal Bates is going to win the Tassie ARC round in Burnie, the first Tarmac round of the ARC in it's 41 year history.

Simon Evans hasn't been on the pace in sits in 3rd behind Spencer Lowndes. Interesting to see the times of the top tarmac guys running in the Tarmac Challenge alongside the ARC are very close to Bates' times.

Local Jamie Vandenberg is taking it up to Tony Longhurst after winning heat one yesterday. Jim Richards had turbo hose issues and lost a couple of stages yesterday.

Brendan Reeves running in the front wheel drive Mazda MPS 3 is doing some very competitive times and beating a lot of evo's and Porsches'.

Tassie has become the centre of the universe for tarmac rallying in Australia.

Wish I lived over that way. We have Targa West here and that's it.

It was not a bad event with some shake-ups. Spencer was flying and it is a shame he could not have hung on for the heat 2 win. With only two guys servicing for him, it was a great effort.
