WTCC Qualifying

I just watched the qualifying ssession for the WTCC at Monza (for the first time), and I saw that all the drivers were drafting each other. Does this normally happen?

Well Monza is a track where cars can slipstream one another so I woudn't be surprised if they tried to pick up an advantage down the long straights through this method.
