Red Bull Racing suspect that Mark Webber's retirement from the Singapore Grand Prix may have been caused by static electricity produced by a nearby tram.

Some people have all the luck.

And the tram was being operated by a suspicious character who only spoke Italian. :p :

It couldn't have been because pino speaks 100 different lanuages fluently. And a little bit of English too :p ;)

if the red bull is that susceptible to a bit of static electricity from a tram hows it going to cope with 20 odd cars running around with KERS next year, especially if it gets too close to a BMW and they start transferring current accross the cars (the night races will start looking like the Highlander films)

That blows the theory that Webber is car breaker

A few less electrical powerlines in the vicinity would have been a good start. :D

Do it Pino! Mark's been rude and offensive since the start on this forum :p

Actually, if it was everyone's favourite Pino that was responsible for Webber's retirement, it wouldn't be the first time a member of this here forum affected current affairs. Apparently when JFK was shot, rumours of a shout of 'This one's for the reindeer!' were heard to come from the grassy knoll... ;)

thats a new one. and mysteriously only affected Mark Weber, in the 3 days of racing and the 100's of laps that all the cars did on the track.

Before it used to be that drivers could never see blame in their own performance when things went wrong. Now RBR has crossed over to that realm.

My concern remains with Vettel seemingly making a downwards move to RBR.
As things look right now, he's better off staying at STR.

Nah, he just needs to pack up those engines and take them with him, and everything will be fine.

Hackfire, ferrari don't really seem to know what they are doing with them anyway, so come next season.....well.....

Öh?! This must be real unluck then or are Red Bull's electronics simply more vulnerable especially as Toro Rosso's Bourdais suffered a similar problem on Friday?

Yay, we have got another conspiracy theory! It has been wondered, why is Webber so unlucky - well, it's actually not unluck, it's all conspiracy! :p :
