Was just looking on touring car times and it said that they are expecting WSR to enter 3 BMW's (which I had heard about) and Motorbase to enter a single Beemer. Just wondered if anyone knew any more about this

If the Danish, Swedish and indeed some Finnish teams can find a budget to go all the way to Austria for this, why can't the leading British teams?

Mat Jackson or Colin Turkington could quite easily wipe the floor with that lot, shame they're not going.

On a track that Jackon or Turkington have never raced on... and with different tyres they run in the BTCC?

I'm not sure... I wouldn't put money on it!

I'm not sure it is a track many of the actual entrants will have raced on. That said you're right about the different tyres playing a part.

I suppose it comes down to budget and value at the end of day, especially as we're an Island, we are very inclusive and not exactly "truly" European so it might not seem beneficial to many people.

And, to be honest, it's such a minor event that gets little or no coverage and lacks prestige, so what's the point competing?

Personal Pride, I presume....
