Can afford to give up two points, but no more than that.

I have been practicing these stages in the past week and my best times have improved quite a lot. However my first run on a stage is usually a disaster and only at the fourth or fifth attempt I get close to my best times. When pushing hard enough to set a personal best, over half of my attempts end with a car somersaulting into the trees... these stages are really tricky! I'm afraid I'll have to take a more careful approach in the rally proper, especially as the frame rate in Rally mode seems worse than in Single stage mode on my PC.
By the way, Mad cat jnr, welcome to this championship. If you like you can already compete on this round, the rallies are open to anyone interested. The more competitors the better, in my opinion.

Allright!!! Another real S2000 car joins the championship.
The Fabia S2000 looks killer in the RB colors!
Hmmm Perhaps a new class dedicated to real PC S2000 cars next year.. :burnout:

If there's going to be a CMR2 IRC Championship next year, it'll all be S2000s (at least in name), won't it?

Car like to get squirrely on the mud sections. Keeping the car straight isn't easy, and that "4 left tightens" in the middle of the stage is a real gut check

There is a chance that you will see some Red Bull Fabia S2000 next year in real PWRC (or IRC). Raimund Baumschlager's team is interested in racing with this car. Then somebody could make a new matching skin.

That is great news!!!!! :D I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!
I had a really funny chat with Andreas Aigner some years ago at the Swedish Rally, when he was driving for Red Bull Skoda, and it would be great to see him rallying a Skoda too.

I completely agree with you. Actually I was at home(?-where I grew up and where my parents live). I have been living abroad for 5 years and honestly I don't really know where exactly is abroad anymore, my home country or my host country (that's kind of sad as well).

Finished the rally. The first four stages were good. Then I had a terrible stages crashing the car three times. Lost at least 15 seconds on that stage and because the car was so damaged about 7 seconds on the next one as well. No time in service to repair everything but managed half-decent times on stages 7 and 8 despite some twitchy handling. And just when the car was fully repaired I lost it again on stage 9. Another 10 seconds gone and this rally really is a case of what might have been.
It should be enough to consolidate my position at the top of the rookie standings, but it wasn't much fun nursing a wreck around for half of the event :(

OK. I just did the rally and sent my times to JTLarsen. But if somebody is not ok with my late submission, send a private massage to JTLarsen and he will not give me championship points. And by the way, I did a really crappy rally. Heavy rain through out the whole event. May be 40-50 sec. off my PB for this event.

We finished the Rally:
Who enjoyed the spins into the trees? We had a very high speed spin and missed the lot! Stage 4 was fun in the rain with more long slides. Went well for the next couple of stages, then Stage 7 caught us out. Went sideways over a big jump and rolled on landing into the fence, bent everything. Somehow we managed a PB on the next stage(!), still bent. Hit a tree on the co-drivers side hard, he didnt talk to me for a while.
Not a bad rally even though we had to contend with a stuck throttle all Rally.
The right seat person is even talking again...

As you did the rally before the results are released, you didn't have any advantage, so I wouldn't object to you being included in the results. It's up to JTLarsen to decide how strictly he's going to apply the "no extensions will be given" rule.
Judging from your report and the one of Rat I wasn't the only one finding the going tough in the Yorkshire forests. And the worst is still to come with Rally GB to finish off the season ;)

NOR and Tannat do it again, it seems that they're extremely closely matched no matter where we are competing :)
But the big question: where was Steve0302? With a win here he would have stayed in contention. Now there are only two drivers left with a realistic chance of the title. But what a fight it will be in Rally GB, both Tannat and NOR starting with 92 points.
I'm satisfied with the end result (though not with how I performed on the stages), it's my best rally finish ever. If it wasn't for some silly mistakes I might have been close to Ramore, but looking at his bad luck with the weather he's clearly quicker on these stages so deserved the last podium spot. But I'm savoring my fastest time on SS 10. :D
Awesome fight between Zes and JTLarsen for fifth, 0.02 s really is almost nothing. But a thank you to Zes for taking another point from my main competitor for fifth in the Championship ;)
Nice to see such a big entry. It looks like the BRC is at least as popular as the WRC nowadays.

You will all drive the Wales Rally GB as usual, send your timecards to Jso as usual, I will then calculate the BRC results based on the WRC results (both days included).
Do remember that you can only score BRC points in Wales if you have competed in any of the other BRC rounds of 2008
