Yes, pity the championship was down to only having 7 4wd entries, and 13 in total - including the Fiesta's and the hybrid Kiwi 2 cars.
Pretty sad. Just too expensive now.....

Very sad the entries for the NZ and the Australian Championships.

It's interesting that club level events are thriving yet anything has the word Championship in it is struggling to get entries.

I think both NZ and Australian Championship organisers need to get their act together and sort things out, maybe less bling, less overall costs and bring the sport back to the grassroots level.

What changes for the future of Rallying in this part of the world then ?

Lawnmower rallying ?
Is the above post in Chinese praising Richard Mason's driving skills that the writer has witnessed during the chinese rally champs or details of a budget mass produced off the shelf rally car about to be produced in China ?

I wonder how long before Virtual Spectator becomes Virtual Competitor and the entire rally championship is an online computer game and you play from home to save on costs and fuel use etc.

Could it be that this year in the NZRC that the Championship had been decided before the final round and that a number of NZ Crews are going to Malaysia for the Pirelli Star Driver, and that many of their supporters / team members going with them are made up of other NZRC competitors & team members that all have thown their everything in behind the NZ teams so as to enable them be be competing there.
