I just came across this

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/south_of_scotland/7609894.stm

And a pdf with the circuit proposal, including the layout

http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Resource/Doc/234726/0064470.pdf

I didn't realize there was such a big imbalance in circuit locations in the UK although it makes scene as most of the UK population is also in that area.

I like Knockhill but Scotland does need a modern dissent size circuit.

Please, please, please, make it so.

It would be great if this happened but knowing the problems of residents complaining about noise and traffic near existing UK circuits I really can't see it getting off the ground

It's an atrocious place to put a circuit, to be honest. The only people who would find it convenient are people from Northern Ireland, since it'd be pretty close to the ferry terminals. At least Knockhill is just off the motorway.
