Heres a pic of R6 FMC, stunning!:

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/239/523759048_b53b40ad99.jpg?v=0

katxal - it may take a while but its worth trawling through a few of these sites:

sc-photography.co.uk
rallygallery.com
ianhardy.net

sure a few other members will add some more sites!

Also theres this site www.mark2motorsport.com (http://www.mark2motorsport.com), im pretty certain the car is just a pukka group a cossie with wrc spoilers, but its a stunning example, the site is that of the team that run it.

R475XVX is also owned by Peter Elkins, it's the ex Steve Hendy tarmac car I think???? Now used on gravel

If we are talking ex works cars then that will be easier to track! There were (and still are) many converted Escort Cosworths in differing stages of tune running with WRC bodywork in the UK and Ireland. I'll dig out a few of my photos later.

Besides the FMC plate what other giveaways are there that it was works? In fact does the FMC suffix even confirm it as a genuine mota?? :)

Personally I'm not keen on the sound of the things bcause they are rarely driven properly and spend the whole time popping and banging which basically tells you that the driver doesn't have any stones.

Got some wkd footage from the 98 rac, unfortunately its all on vhs

Hi, I´m searching information about a car that was used by Dany Vasquez, a spanish driver, in Rally of Portugal 2002. I´m not sure about the reg-plate of the car, but I think that was A 220 STW. Anyone knows the chassis number of this car. The reg-plate seems to be from britain.

Thanks

Anyones knows where is now the car with the reg plate M10 MWM? The car was used by Armin Schwarz in Safari´97. Then sold to Fernando Peres, a portuguese driver, and in 2001 was sold, but I don´t know to where.

Thanks

Brian Green in New Zealand owns P11 FMC. If I am not wrong, it is an ex-Kankkunen car. I know for a fact that Juha contacted Brian back in 03 wanting to buy it back for his private collection although Brian did not want to let the car go.

Here is a photo of it on show at the 2007 Rally NZ service park...

There is another Escort WRC in the Basque Country actually owned by Tony Evangelista. It was used in the Spanish gravel championship by Pedro Diego, Iñaki Alberdi and Dani Estévez.

Originally it was driven by Patrick Snijers (Bastos Team) in the European championship.

Here you´ve got some pictures of the car with some of the different liveries it has had.

Don't know where it is now but I think this one (the registration anyway) started off with Irishman, Stephen Finlay, who used it on the 1996 Acropolis. A few weeks earlier, it was out on a round of the Scottish Championship that I was competing on, the Weldex Rally in Argyll. Finlay set the fastest time by a lot on the first stage only to roll off the road on the second. It was then in white with large orange arrows all over it. Not exactly easy on the eye!

The original reg-plate was P10 RED. Pedro Diego drove a Ford Escort WRC in Rally Madeira 2000, it´s possible that these car is the car that he drove in 2000? And if yes, he had the same reg-plate?

Too many DNF's would be my guess.. Nar not sure but it has been re-shelled after a big roll and has had lots of motor work after snapping cam belt more than once.

Mats Jonsson has been driving an Escort WRC for years, and has been winning almost everything with that car. Could be the Escort WRC that has won most rallies?

NZ Silver Fern Rally - Entrant Profiles (http://www.silverfernrally.co.nz/rally06/profilesInd.php?entrantId=74)

As said in the little caption. This car now sits in an Oamaru (Small town halfway down the South Island of NZ) in an auto museum. Also sitting in the museum is the ex works blomquist Quattro A2 or A1, not quite sure ;)

Actually this car is not in the Oamaru Museum. We will be rallying in it in 2 weekends time. Still owned by Brian Green. :)

It's not the car that Mats run right now but if I remember right, it's his old one.
The car he has now (since quite a few years) has reg No TLW 097.

I'll check when he was switched to the new car.

The first image I have of Mats in TLW 097 is in the South Swedish Rally 2003 (possible he drove the car in the winter races which I did not visit).
He has since then driven the car except a few appearances in a Focus 01 in late 2006 and early 2007.

Legend:

cyrillic = latin

C 53 16 PK = S 53 16 RK

cyrillic 'C' = latin 'S'

cyrillic 'P' = latin 'R'

cyrillic 'K' = latin 'K'

in cyrillic 'C' = ?????

in latin 'S' = Sofia /Bulgaria's capital/

in cyrillic 'PK' = ???????? ????????

in latin 'RK' - Radoslav Kozlekov

probably the digit code says something too...

Yes it is - R17 FMC was 2000 when he bought it from England, C 5316 PK - 2001. BTW Bulgarian number plates are with latin letters only (but does not correspond to them as danon already explained) for some time, and Kozlekov's car's must stay as it is, i.e. "C 5316 PK".
