The entry list for Chicagoland shows that Darren Manning is not announced as driving the car for AJ Foyt Enterprises, but the spot remains as TBA, along with the second Conquest drive.

The second Conquest ride is mostlikely either Bernoldi or Tagliani.

However, Manning not running is a bit of a surprise. Who could run that car? I have a gut feeling it will be Pablo Donoso.

Big my bad, the eyes aren't working properly.

In anycase, I believe the driver of the 41 will be Donoso either way. I also expect him to run next year for AJ.

perera in the 41! nice move by foyt!

sky sports had an interview with darren either before sonoma or detroit and he said as long as ABC would return to foyt next year he would also be there. It sounded like he had already spoken to foyt about next year at that point.

Well I guess I was off.

I was surprised to hear that about Manning being back next year. It surprises me as AJ has been quite mad with him a few times this year, and he is not happy with his fitness level.

With the series going a little bit stronger on the road races, Manning suddenly has some value to Foyt. I've never been all that impressed by Darren's driving, but he does tend to finish decently on the road and streets. Rarely see him in the top 5 though.

With Perera in and Manning staying on, I suppose this puts Simmons out in the cold? I think he was hoping/expecting a seat there next season.

Frank just might outdo Manning and be in the 41 next year. I don't want to see Foyt running 2 cars when they can't run 1 competitively that makes no sense.

Running two cars usually helps make teams more competitive, as long as they have the budget for it. Extra brain power, extra parts, and extra info shared among teammates could improve AJ Foyt Enterprises next year if it happens.
