MotoGP isn't quite satisfying my thirst for two wheel racing on my XBox so I thought I would try some older games for my Playstation.

Has anyone played:

Castrol Honda Racing
Ducati World
Moto Racer
Superbike 2001

Curious of your impressions....

I've played Moto Racer 1 & 2 and they are terrific on PC. I'm trying to get MR3 Gold edition so I can play it on the new computer. It's XP compatible

Had Superbike 2001 on the PC and it was great but the AI were too slow. I've just got SBK 08 for the PS2 and that is much better. Gfx are obviously better, the AI is much closer and the bikes are great to ride, miles better than MotoGP 07 which I've played on a friends Xbox.

Received Superbike 2000 for PS1 yesterday and played it this AM. Reminds me alot of TOCA 1 in it design.

It's really very okay for a year 2000 PS1 release. I have fears that with a properly set up bike I'll have no worries with the AI :(

I'm thinking about getting a PS2 to have access to other 4 wheel 2 wheel racing games. MotoGP is okay, but I'd like more......

Yeah I would have said get a PS3 if you could but I see that PS2 titles can't run on it and there aren't that many great titles on PS3 yet, only GT5 which is even then a "preview" version as such, but costs the same as a full game!

I've got 2000 and 2001 SBK for the PC and they were good but you're right, the second you get the setup so that you don't fall off every 5min you'll cream the AI, except at maybe 1 or 2 tracks, but over a championship season its 1-way traffic really, which is a pity cos the bike riding is really great.
