Formula BMW International driver Brook Johnston recently took a much exclusive tour through Munich's BMW Racing facilities and plant where they manufacture some of Formula One's most private and cutting edge concepts and cars. Championship points leader Johnston was invited to tour the facilities by BMW Sauber's operation and connection with Sauber Red Bull team owner Peter Sauber and Manager Mark Spire. With a huge IT center and state of the art machinery, the Munich racing facility is well hidden from the public and to get invited there is a tremendous honor. Johnston's tour of the facilities have also marked some speculation as to whether Peter Sauber is trying to pull the 20 year old American in the direction of possibly testing for BMW Sauber this fall. He was seen outside the factory talking with BMW Sauber technical director Willy Rampf, of whom him and Thiessen have shown interest in the American's talent. The American has already been announced to test for Red Bull's Torro Rosso team this coming August, however there could be other teams interested that might possibly be looking at Johnston for a spot as a test driver in Formula One such as BMW Sauber Racing. Nothing has been announced as to the purpose of Johnston's BMW Munich visit, however there was surely something stirring inside that says Formula One all over it.

Johnston who currently has won 4 races in the start of the International series, has been strongly influenced and pushed to contend at the Formula One level for the 2009 season. With the way things are shaping out, a win in this seasons championship would surely see Johnston to an opportunity at one of Formula One's most exclusive teams.
