yup i agree
and for Michael Andretti he plays favorites with danica and marco, and in the end that just hurts AGR cuz soon TK will get tierd of this and leave AGR and go to the first car that comes his way, and never really do anything ti'll he says im going to nascar, and once more indycar loses a top driver,
Michael Andretti is crazy for what hes doing, marco does something dumb he looks the other way, danica does something dumb you cant do anything shes a girl,, both danica and marco have it made in that way, but it just hurts AGR in this way :mark:

Those two consistently have the worst attitudes of racecar drivers I have ever seen.
I hope Andretti makes some executive decisions and gets rid of them and puts two able-bodied people who want to win races and not worry about their pride in those vehicles.

I'm not sure what you are alluding to. TK wasn't that much better than his teammates. If he was he would have easily passed them like the other did that passed him.
As far as the Milka incident. Blocking, getting in someone's way while driving, vs. move over to let your teammate over are two totally different issues. I did not see footage that Milka was blocking Danica and no one had a link to show that. So I'm confused.

I'm alluding to the fact that almost every driver in history who is accused of blocking someone will excuse himself by saying "well, if he/she was so much faster than me, he/she should just have passed me", thus negating that it is kind of hard to pass someone who is actively blocking you.
And then she gets punted off by Marco....!

Yeah, but get rid of The Danica and there likely wouldn't be enough money for a 4 car team... maybe not even a 3 car team.
As or Marco, he seems well on his way to being the next Shiggy Hattori. IMO, Michael moved him up too fast. He looked pretty good in lower formulas. But Michael seemed so determined to have him in the IRL... even if it was before he was ready. Now he seems to be learning bad habits faster than good ones.
If Kanaan leaves at the end of the season, I predict a DEI style implosion at AGR. They'll have 2 drivers that still can't fully set up their own cars and another driver that they have to depend on his Formula Dream check clearing.

At any rate AGR is imploding this season. A season that they should have had control of since the end of last season. Hope TK gets a ride somewhere else maybe NHL. He does not need the drama from his teammates.

I have never been a DANICA fan but after that almost mowing down the GANASSI Team Pit thing and this incident today I am more disgusted then ever. I never liked BRAT-MARCO, BARCO either. I will agree with the poster who said that it sure doesn't show much respect or leadership on AGR.

Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"This was an interesting race. I lost radio communication with my crew around lap 34, which was very frustrating, so I just followed the cars in front of me. Thankfully I needed to pit when I followed the group in after the yellow. I am frustrated that I finished 18th because the Motorola car was capable of a top-10 finish. It would have been a great way to finish the weekend here in Edmonton."
Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"I'm disappointed with our finish. The Team 7-Eleven/Frank's Energy Drink car was one of the three quickest cars on track. However, considering that we started last, we were able to gain positions and still get some important points. This is a very physical track but the fan support was great and I look forward to coming back next year."
Marco Andretti, #26 Blockbuster Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"This was a disappointing day for the Blockbuster team. It was a difficult race and not the finish we were looking for. There was tremendous fan support and this was a great event weekend so hopefully we'll have a better result next year."

It was a 3 year deal signed for the 2007 season forward. Argent, XM and GoDaddy had deals too, but theirs were separate from Motorola's $7 million/year deal. I don't know for sure, but I would guess that the sponsorship coming into the team last year because of Patrick was close to $10 million... maybe more. Various outlets reported that Motorola was only coming back if AGR could land Patrick. Good driver or bad driver, sponsors are in it for the exposure - and Patrick certainly gets that.
I always liked Kanaan. I agree. I think he deserves better than the soap opera that AGR has become. And someone on his level shouldn't have to be setting up cars for lessers, week after week, season after season.

I was thinking the same thing. TK was at least a second faster at that point in the race, but why risk passing your teammates, especially if a) they have been told to let you by and b) they are both notorious for blocking and changing lines.
Of course, Marco had no problem with another dive bomb move, and look how well that worked out. I wouldn't be surprised if TK was expecting something like that.

Feel sorry for TK, since Herta and Dario have gone, the team has slipped drastically.

I think Marco is in way over his head and Danica is average at best. The verdict is still out on Mutoh.
The team went from having 3 solid veterans (two of them being consistent and proven winners) to having one proven winner/veteran, one over=hyped media magnet with roughly average talent who might actually be a better driver if she focused more on driving and less on confrontation/media, one 3rd generation driver with questionable talent and attitude, and one rookie....
You also have to factor into that that Kanaan is good - but not THAT good - same as Franchitti and Herta - three above average (but not exceptional) drivers made the team work well - only one of them cannot support the mediocrity of the rest.....
I have never been an michael andretti fan and this may very well be karma catching up with him....

Agreed, to be honest I think the team would be much better off dumping Danica and trimming back to 2 cars for Kanaan and another proven winner (or genuinely talented youngster). I think as the likes of KV, Newman-Haas and the other ex Champ Car teams get up to speed, they may start to slip backwards.
Ironically I remember a few years ago AGR were the only team to make a stand against the whole Danica PR thing, think it was 2005 after she nearly fluked the win at Indy, I wonder what made them decide to sell out?

I'm against team orders. It's just not right. Penske didn't direct Helio around Briscoe at Mid-Ohio either, although it might've cost them the title.
Marco's move was just careless. He knows he can do much better than that. He just needs to recapture his '06 shape.
Danica has never been particularly strong on road courses.
I don't know what's going on at AGR behind the curtains, but I highly doubt Kanaan would leave just like that. Which other rides are available? At the end of the day, this team has won three of the the last four championships. Patience, and thngs will go your way.

There is a big difference between team orders when both cars involved are on the same pit strategy, and when they are diiferent. In this case they were very different and it is quite proper to tell a more fully loaded team mate to give way to one with much less fuel on board.

It is good to see the true anti Danica contingent come out when they don't know weather Danica's radio was working (nor was there a Green & White car behind her) and you just all over her, yet Marco knows this and tell them to basically F-off then breaks the other cardinal rule and makes contact with a teammate and gets less flack (I don't see "Bosses' son refuses team orders to let Kaanan pass..")

From what little I've been able to find out about him, Mutoh seems pretty decent. Given his lack of experience, and that he probably gets less attention and hand-holding than either of the Terror Twins, he's doing better than just OK: he's 10 points ahead of Marco The Merciless, and only 10 points behind The Danica.
But if Mutoh goes Missing In Action at AGR, so does that Formula Dream (Honda) check = 3 car AGR team.
From what's been written, AGR has about three days to make nice with Kanaan. Maybe his options are limited (if he wants the fat check). But AGR's options might be limited too. What upper level driver would sign up to drive part time and babysit part time?

That was my exactly point, it wasn't TK normal paint job so it would have been a lot harder for Danica (as well as other traffic) to recognize him coming up if she had no radio to tell her it was him. The green and white stands out a lot from other cars more than a sky blue & white when you are bouncing over airport tarmac at 160mph. The same thing happened to Corvette at Le Mans in 2003 when the changed paint jobs from yellow to dark blue and none of the GT cars said they recognized them as they were approaching

I think it shows alot more about the two drivers characters than it does their abillity. Both can drive an Indy car better than any of us on here, they just aren't as good as the top guys, but I remmebr when Tony was bashed for being not very good. Then he went tothe IRL and became a top driver........but that's another argument.

I don't remember anyone saying it was $21 million a year, and when ever people talk about athlete contracts they talk about the total value
I remember it was $7m per year but w/out all bonus or races winning
