Will need to keep an eye for this as it is one of the 'non series' races that I di used to keep an eye on, although I have been a bit slack sincet he GP riders stopped riding it.

AAA post?????????
Although Honda won the race and it was great to see Kiyonari & Checa take it away, the overall performance of Honda entries (from an endurance perspective) did not impress me at all when compared with the performances of Yamaha and Suzuki.
From the results as published:-----------
Honda----- 30 started------8 (26.66%) finished in the top 25 (best 1st place)
Suzuki---- -16 started------7 (43.75%) finished in the top 25 (best 2nd place)
Yamaha----14 started------7 (50.00%) finished in the top 25 (best 5th place)
Kawasaki----8 started -----2 (25.00%) finished in the top 25 (best 15th place)
Oops.........Kawasaki.....8 started---- 3 (37.5%) finished in the top 25

How can Watanabe perform so well in Japan and be such a total disappointment in the UK?
Is it the culture change, the style of circuits, the bike?

All those plus the 3rd-rate Pirelli control tyres compared to the posh Michelin ones he gets at home.

I dont know why Watanabe is racing with the cup riders in BSB when he can be a front runner at Suzuka. a few BSB rounds ago Rizla Suzuki said he was performing at a reasonable level, I dont know if they still think that.
Language and culture difficulties ware always the big issues for Japanese racers coming to Europe. They have trouble communicating so they become isolated, their results suffer because of it, they cant take it any more and move back to Japan. This doesn't affect only Japanese riders, Ant West said his Salzburg flat that he got when he joined KTM felt like a prison because he didnt know anyone and in an interview of the american 125cc rider Stevie Bonsey I read last year he said he moved from Spain to England where he knows the language.

You mean Bridgestone ;)
I just noticed, the HRC bikes were also not using michelin, one was on stones the other on dunlops.

Ah, Bridgestone of course. What else would you want to race on in the land of the rising sun? :)
