After SS 3 Bulgarian drivers are leading the event but there isn't a big gap to foreigner drivers...

After some good races, Solowow is being disappointing again :s maybe he had some problems..

Let's hope it was just a small problem on SS3.

So at the end off the day:

1. Donchev
2. Isik at 27"7
3. Fontana at 46"1
4. Iliev at 1'15"1

After stage 9 (second of today) Solowow has passed Iliev for fourth place. Iliev took penalty of 20 sec and Solowow did make fastest time on stage 9 and second fastest on stage 8. So now we have four S2000 cars on first four positions. :eek:

Nope, I asked Dan Girtofan about it. He has the N14 since the begining of the season, but he kept it in his garage and used his old N12 in the first rounds of the national championship.

It's not Donchev's former car. Donchev's N14 is painted yellow (including the roll-bar), Girtofan's car is white.

Iliev hit the rear left wheel and he broke the rim, this is the reason for his delay. They also changed some suspension parts after that. But as a whole he had more problems this year - with engine and his rally was not going well - he is even a little slower than last year.
Also I'm really sorry about Popov - he lost more than 5 minutes on SS6 due to a loose hose between turbo and intercooler and he finished the rally on +6:48.2 from the winner.
And of course congratulations to the winner Donchev, he had a very good rally which haven't happened to him for some time. He deserved the victory.
Also as you know the world is small and it happened that today we were on the same corner with our forumers atsiotras79 and harriswrc. Thank you for the great time spent together, I hope you enjoyed our rally. See you again on the future rallies :)

There were 3 cars with Prista Oil livery (Donchev, Borisov and Girtofan). I had the chance to speak with all three of them. In fact Prista Oil were the ones that invited me to attend the rally.

I regret that I didn't met any fellow forumers during the rally. I had a very tight schedule and I only visited the forum once per day. :(

A detail: Donchev lost third gear during the last stage, which explains the small gap to Isik at the end. I'll post tomorow a photo of Iliev's damaged right-rear.

Nice rally, nice trip! We had a lot of fun in Bulgaria where we met other forumers (txl and PLuto). Donchev was very fast and Popov very spectacular! I was expecting more from Iliev. Greek driver Konstantinou was not bad at his first rally abroad.
Next year we will be there again!

I don't think anyone does DVDs about Rally Bulgaria. But you can check here. Usually there are a lot of clips about every rally in Bulgaria. Some of them are really professional and nicely organized.
