How many laps has Danica lead this season?

I was told that as of today, July 1, Danica has only lead a total of three laps this season.... Can anyone tell me what the actual number is?

That is true.

3 at motegi is all she has led.

Thanks Bob........ What's the deal this year..... Why doesn't she run "up front" more? I thought when she moved to a new team this year she would be much more competitive......

She went to the Al Unser school of survival. You know, stay in touch but not up front, until all in front have dropped out or had to stop for a splash.

She didn't lead all that many last year either. Three quarter of all the laps she has led were during the 2005 season. The good news for Danica: she's still in fifth place in the points, only behind the four championship contenders. The bad news: there are a group of drivers within 10 points of her, and they're all better roadracers and are likely to catch her in the last half of the season.
