Where did the 11 origional all conquering Vauxhall Astra Coupes go after they were phased out of the btcc and into other championships.

Encke Sport bought 1 of them and I think that was bought by someone who came on this forum a while ago if you can remember.........

So, what about the other 10?

Pete Daniels has one.Chassis:004

Chassis:010 was converted to a simulator following accident at Knockhill in 2004.

I did try to make a list of all BTC-T cars from all manufacturers that were built, but a few other people had that idea too, so I didn't bother going into any detail with it.

The list is a bit out of order. 001 was a two seater that was used by JP until his race car was ready, 006 was going to be Egg's two seater but became a simulator and then was sold along with 007 to Tom Chiltons team. Also there were 12 built. Rob Collard tried his hardest to destroy one. And as previously mentioned the front end of Thommo.s car from Knockhill is the simulator at the VXR performance centre. I believe that two went to sweden.

Funny, all sources I've come across (admittedly never from the horse's mouth though) has had 001 and 002 as Egg's cars and 003 - 006 as the VXR cars. 007 was supposedly built for the 2002 season from a spare shell for Barwell.

If 010/011 were Thompson's 2004 cars then what car was Fiona Leggate using because I thought Tech-Speed had bought the Championship winning car but the post says that she had Chassis 009, Which was Yvan Muller's.........

Maybe it wasn't the drivers championship winning car but a reference to the manufacturers championship winning car?
