RIP-Gurl Racer's dad

Don't know if i should go out with a ful name on this, but just got an text from our little friend saying that her dad was killed in an motorcycle accident in New Zealand.

She is in Norway herself atm as an exchange student and was due to head back on july 5th, she has to leave this sunday now.


Just thought I'd write this cos I've got to know her very good the last few months and like many of us know how much she's been through and how much her dad means to her and for a year in Norway to end like this is just horrible...

Talked to her a little bit tonight and seems to do ok, guess it hasen't really sunk in yet though. Not the best time having to do a 30 hour flight back really ;(

Not being close hurts the most. Of course I mean close to home when tradgety strikes but the worst part is every gurl, Even racers are close to thier fathers, and to lose one is simply the worst.
My deepest condolences and wishes of pleasent dreams of all the good times and lessons shared.

My sincerest condolances to the entire McIssac family (and especially to Lani). Your father was a great guy - I don't know of many fathers who would take an entire weekend off simply to drive their daughter 4 hours to co-drive in a Rallysprint for someone who she chatted with on the Internet. I know that he absolutely adored you and that from now on he will be watching over and protecting you. My prayers are with you.
