Hi there I'm new here. Thought I'd share something a little different and see if any of you guys had heard of it. It's called a "Bizzarrini GT America". I photographed it racing at the Adelaide Classic last year. Had a great engine note and was very impressive. But never seen aything like it before. Ever heard or seen one before?

Yes. It was one of many such autos developed, built and sold by independent auto builders during the 60's, such as Bizzarrini, Iso, and Jensen.

The GT utilized a Chevy 350 c.i. V8 engine, which gave the car reliable power with speeds that would have a Ferrari 250 GT check their mirrors. But, then again, Giotto Bizzarrini (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bizzarrini) was an engineer with Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and ISO long before starting his own concern. :)

I have heard of Giotto Bizzarrini before. His contribution to the world is in my well-paid opinion, the 4th most beautiful car of all time.

I thought that the picture was of an Iso Griffo, but I guess I was very much mistaken.

I've always thought that Bizzarinis are ugly bloody things. Should be seeing a few in a couple of weeks at the Le Mans Classic though :D
