British sponsors....

Following a British win in the 125cc race, (yes you did hear that right) I think it is telling that all the British riders are on 'foreign' bikes. Not one is on a British teams bike, and all/most of the sponsors are Spanish/Italian. I suspect Scott's win has got more coverage there than here in UK. When are British sponsors going to get involved, or is it wishful thinking?

Sponsorship is a cynical business decision. It's a form of advertising. Bike racing, especially 125GP, has a massively higher profile in Spain than the UK. For that reason it's unrealistic to expect big money sponsorship from UK companies.
