What major City is Karlstad closest to? Goteborg? Linkoping? Malmo? Stockholm or Uppsala?! Just wanted to get my weather gadget correct :)

Karlstad is where it is, and its really closer to Oslo than any Swedish city, except Arvika (many many might argue that Arvika isnät really Swedish) but the stages are all straight north, north of the metropolis of Sunne and Gräsmark.
For ideas of weather, check FALUN, its at the similar elevation and in the same rand of hills that the stages are.

That's whishful thinking. Considering the problems Loeb had (1st on the road, problem with the helicopter, stall in SS1, still learning the car on snow), 10 second behind is not bad. I can see him passing Marcus by the end of the 2nd day.

that is a very ungracious comment.

How much do you pay for this service?

nothing,

so anything that you get that is ahead of that is a gain.

If you don't like, don't listen, but don't be so critical when you have no knowledge of the reasons or background

Why don't you think its ok to critic the "rallyradio", after all its quite crap it does not matter if it is free or not.

critic is fine, but must be from a position of knowledge.

In this case I suspect that there were technical problems, and that the Radio people would have preferred to be getting the messages from the stages rather than playing music.

My reaction is one of seeing criticism without gratitude or appreciation for what has gone before.

Seeing comments later from the person I commented suggest that it may have been more a figure of speech than anything else.

Rally fans do need to support and pay for what they have to a greater extent than some of them do now.

I can't stand people who complain and do nothing to fix things.

GigiGalliNo1:
Where are you living?

Yes Australia, home of Rally Australia. Well it was.

But the difference is that Loeb was still testing today I think.. He could be getting more confidence tomorrow

Yes I think Loeb will come out on top, but a fight with Marcus but something is hinting to me that Petter will do great this weekend and so will his brother. A fight against Sordo and Galli as well but lower down the board.

It was incredible to see Gigi as high as 2nd place. But you never want to support a driver too much it might just jinx him! Ahhh but when I hear this (on radio) "Gigi has stopped on stage.......His GPS has stopped.." could not believe this! What I was hoping was that Sordo I think might have blocked the stage. It's all that was in my head and then Gigi yelling at him after and there being a time given out due to stage being canceled but I was wrong and the worst happened. 4 minutes he can catch up on right? I hope so.

Yeh I'm paying for WRC+ and really like it. Not that I don't have a problem with getting the free version. I have WRC+ splits in one monitor and ee. in the other. WRC+ radio up as well which gets annoying with the music! But they've began to repeat the interveiws, and they make up some funny stuff, but it's a small price for me, I don't know others but I'm enjoying it and again I missed the SSS LIVE Broadcast on day 1! :( But might miss it again on the last day. Watched MONTE's SSS but the first 10mins then had to go! :( Bummer. It was great though! :)

Now watching daily round up on WRC+ from SWE

that is a very ungracious comment.

How much do you pay for this service?

nothing,

so anything that you get that is ahead of that is a gain.

We are lucky they are there at all.

If you don't like, don't listen, but don't be so critical when you have no knowledge of the reasons or background

I agree, but if something is stupid ............ it's just stupid, no matter how you put it. I don't feel lucky at all, and I don't listen it.

Hm... But what about Marcus last year? 1st on the road too. Still learning the car not only on snow, but overall, cause he hadn't been testing his car for a year like Seb did...

That's my point, last year on day 1, Marcus was 1st and still learning the car. The next day he was much faster. You can expect Seb to do the same as he is in the same situation.

Radio broadcasing is business for people who have money, know how is done, and are professionals. By doing that they make money and don't ask group members to pay so they can get better. I'm sick of insider people that are trying to cash out from the WRC, they can't do it, but don't want to let others do it for them.

I would had put Galli as first, if it would have not been so obvious that the forest department would call him sooner or later, he would have a bright future in rally if he could change his attitude a bit, this way he will never get a works seat.

the truth is also that the teams needs the cars to the finish, and the truth is that if every privateer from the top 10 rises the risk level to the same where Gallis is the times would be about same too.
