The next model Ford Falcon which is being developed on the E8 Orion platform (and thus a break from EA169) won't see an actual racecar in the works until possibly Sandown 2009.

The car suffers from the same problem as the VE Commodore in that it will exceed the maximum dimensions for the formula. Since the car won't go into full-scale testing until mid 2008, the roadcar might not even make it to showrooms before Jan 2009, which means that the racecar will be even later.

No photos for you yet... as no car yet exists.

yeah not quite correct, the production version is being launched towards the end of this year and the plan was originally to have the car racing at the start of 2008. However due to the reasons you listed above it just isn't possible for that to happen, so ford is now weighing up introducing the car either half way through 2008, or more likely at the start of 2009. It wont take as long as sandown 2009 tho, it'll be ready well before that
