I went to the final stage of the event, couldn't manage to get to the other ones.

Waipu Caves is a great stage to watch. Very beautiful. Some spectacular driving as well, with some big slides over crests and also some cars pushing very close to a steep drop.

I was surprised at the fuss over Emma Gilmour and Kirsty Nelson, they didn't really do so well in the rally.

That's right. His cage was damaged so he wasn't allowed to restart.

oh, well, the local paper (which I've not been very impressed with) made a big deal of Emma Gilmore and Kirsty Nelson.
