Rd 5 V8 Supercar PRO-SIM Series Details

Rd 5 is upon us....like the real circus this weekend, we are off to Sandown Race Track...here are the details:

TRACK: Sandown
RACE 1: 4 laps
RACE 2: 8 laps

SETTINGS:
*Pro-Sim ON * Careless Driving & Cutting Corners OFF * A.I...110% Custom
* Start at FRONT of Grid * Free Settings for ALL drivers except Vuko Snr & Piotr B for Qualifying & Races......Vuko Snr & Piotr B must use Default Downforce,Trans,Tyres....but they can adjust suspension etc...I'm giving wilson_fan his wish this Rd to see what he can do!
TIMES: Qualifying times must be posted on this thread by Tuesday evening 10th June.....Race times are to be pm'd to me by Sunday evening 15th June. Hope we get a good roll up again...this should be a good event

I reckon i can get into the 06's, but i suspect the quicker guys to be into the 05's and 04's or less.

I had my first session albeit only about 15mins but found some decent speed even on default tyres.....I think wilson_fan could be the one to beat this Rd being on "Free Settings."

Knocked over 1.5s off my previous time. Im going to update my previous predictions as well, for the front runners to be in the 02's and 03's.

I dont think i'll be able to get too much more time off a 1:05.5 though.

A slight improvement but still 3rd.....I don't think I can match wilson_fan with the restrictive settings...I might have one more session then concentrate on getting a good race time!

I had another run and couldn't really improve my time, only by a few hundredths of a second. I'm struggling most to get the car slowed down for the tight left hander after the back straight.

Times are due tonight guys....I have only received times from wilson_fan so far.....if you need an extra extension please advise me tonight....I have just finished my races....this was a tough track...the 110 A.I was pretty tough as well for a change.

with us middle 3 cars covered by just over 1/2 a second I couldn't rule it out!

man did I suck that 2nd race up bad.

I thought I sucked the 1st one up pretty bad - until I ran the second one. It is only then that I knew what true suckiness really was!

I onlye finished 5th in the first race. had 4th up till the last turn of the last lap.

then in the 2nd race, I was as high as 2nd or 3rd until that last lap when I just lost it... might've gotten bumped... racing that AI was a real challange.

added a whole other element to it.

might try again if I get some times before the results are posted ;)

I know I could do better... I just ran out of time to keep trying.

Well done wilson_fan on your first win.....very,very disappointed with the turn up to the race...I'm going to put the next Rd in Europe...to try & get more entries...if we end up with only 3 racing next Rd I'm going to pull the pin on the series...it would be a shame!! I'm letting you decide the next track...it must be an international one...put in your preference of top 3 tracks...we go to the most popular!

I'm just glad this round is over. Learned a lot though - need to spend more practice time at these tight tracks.

the slow corners & heavy braking killed me. not to mention the AI.

apologies for the absense, but like i said, i a was ill last week..plus a full time job, and a part time job..so i will try to make the next one.

I like Donington too, and I would be up for doing that next round.

unless it may be our last round ever. then I think we would have to do Spa, just because we simply have to do Spa before the series closes.

ditto for for Bathurst.

I vote we do Donington next, or maybe Brands, or whatever... then if the series is going to die we have spa and bathurst as our final rounds.

but, I'm fine with a 3 people series too ;)

Yes!!! A win at long last. How about next Rd no handicaps Vuko? I want to beat you in a "fair dinkum" manner. I reckon Donnington sounds good. I also like Brands. Don't give up on this series. I like it. I'm sure we will get more entries next Rd. What are the current standings?
