Interesting article about GP2 driver Mike Conway

We do not know how it will come, but Mike Conway is now targeting a racing seat in 2009. But he admits that he needs room for improvement. He has 2 good managers as in Brundle and Blundell.

I'd be surprised if he makes it. 2009 certainly seems very soon. He's not bad but there are a lot of others that are better, and there's no huge sponsorship reason like there is with Nakajima. I don't think that one win in a reverse grid sprint race last week really entitles him to an F1 seat over Barrichello. He was quite badly beaten by his teammate last year. They'd be better off with Sato. Or better still keeping their current lineup.

What is it with some of these drivers ? They win one race, and declare that they are ready for F1. Last week it was Danica Patrick, now it's Conway. Prove that you can kick butt through a whole season or 2, then you could be considered for a drive.
