I don't have positions 1-5, but according to Robin Miller, 6th through 33 all collected $300,000 if they are running the full season, and $270,000 if Indy is a one-off, or in Luzco Dragon's case, a part-time team.

that's why I don't entirely get why Fisher's DNF at 30th was that much worse than her likely finish of low 20s. Pays the same, right? Yes her car was damaged but how does this affect her Kentucky money that much differently?

How? Well, for one she can't call up her Nationwide agent and turn in a claim to have her car repaired. She is operating on a shoe string budget and now has to repair a badly damaged car.

Exactly. She has one cars, and spare parts are not exactly floating around right now. This is one time I hope TG steps in and pays for the other two races she planned on running.

Althought the purse was record setting, I still think it is too small and ICS could attract a lot more attention from the big bad Nascar world. All the 500 and ICS needs is for a few of nascar's biggest names to run one race and then all of those fans who have now seen how exciting open wheel racing and in turn become fans themselves. ICS has better personalities than nascar and a better on track product. All it needs is the attention so people know. So maybe 10 million to the winner, I think that would gain the attention of everybody! Although I doubt that would happen.

So where would you find the extra $6,000,000? See ABC Money is worth about $10,000,000 and Sponsors of lap prizes and other things are worth about $1,500,000 so the other $3,000,000 came from 100,000 in the Infield at $20.00 and practice/qualifying revenue from tickets.
So the Speedway kept the the revenue from pits and seat tickets so about $25,000,000.

As far as personalities? NASCAR has 36 real good people as drivers and ICS has 4.
