Fifth round of Czech international champioship, 30th-31st May. 2 legs, 14 stages of 190 km. Rally takes place near Slovak and Austrian border, south-east from Brno.

It is possible that a series of Kresta's wins will end in Hustopeče because he gets a serious opposition. From the entry:

For the second position I think the fight was between Josef Beres And Roman Kresta and to finish the fights for podium places, I think, Pech and Valousek will have another great fight!

I really don!t think that Kresta should fight for 2nd. He's the biggest favourite. This is gonna be straight battle between Kresta and Kopecky that we all were waiting for very long time, but I still think, that Kresta is faster, even with production car.

Kresta doesn't need to spend such big money to win Czech title. He is way better than anyone here and doesn't have money to waste them. But for Barum rally (and rallysprint Kopna earlier in the summer) he will drive S2000 car ;)

Kopecky may defeat him, especialy with a better car. But as a driver I think Kresta is better, but they haven't driven against each other for 4 years. If there is wet I still think Kresta would be faster even with Lancer.

Only 52 crews passed scrutineering. It is the lowest number in several years, however all the top crews are present.

Kresta had to make some mistake, also Pech is much more faster. Tlustak retired because of non-working ECU.

So, Valousek was off road on SS1 and made a spin on SS2. Kresta was late on brakes in SS1 and had to return. Kresta said he wasn't interested in Kopecký as he doesn't do Czech championship.

He has only 4 new tyres for whole rally. He can't attack and he knows it.

Yes, it's quite a big miracle that he could enter all rallyes of Int. czech chapionship so far.

All drivers except No.1 Kopecký complains about dust on stages which stays a long time as there is absolutely no wind.

I 've noticed in the first part of the season that Kresta is a bit slower in the night, so maybe he will be faster tommorow? :confused:

You are right. In fact it is strange to me but every rally it is the same, he looses speed in the night. Maybe it is just because he doesn't need to push in the dark where there is more risk. He usualy easily defeats Pech in the daylight. But maybe it is that way that Pech is fast in the night because the gap against the rest is practicaly same, only those two are much closer to each other.

Kopecky found a big oil soil under the car before SS12. They thought something was wrong and retired, but in the service they found that it was usual oil overflow, which was bigger because of hot weather - so finally perhaps no engine damage. And Odlozilik retired because some wrong constructed part of exhaust, which was already reported in few other 2008 spec. Pugs 2007 S2000.

Well, nice gravel, veeeery hot weather and a lot of dust. If there were more crews it would be nice.

In my opinion Kresta was doing some strange job. He wasn't driving that way he did before. Instead of it he was still greeting spectators. Don't ask me why it was as it was. Maybe just my wrong feeling :)
