I atleast enjoyed the show Dave.
I knew about the things he explained to Ainsley such as the meeting with Sir Frank (Williams) and his days with his Kart which was taken as exhange for a bad debt, but it was more facinating to hear it from the horses mouth; not that I am compat. Stuff don't seem the same when learned from text.
Jase won (naturally), but the best winner on the night was the charity; Sparks. Another deserving charity given a mention and a bit of a cash injection in an age where the Government are giving money to things like places to hang paintings few people know and/or care about by painters who are nonentities compared to the ilk of Van Gogh and Monet.
Well done Jase and well done BBC.
Couple of moments that made me cringe tho, such as Ainsley thinking touring cars was the same as rallying! Also, they should have had a BTCC clip for Plato!

I don't quite see the need for the rant. Of course governments should fund some of the more obscure corners of the arts (I'd far rather they did that than go along with some perceived majority view), and there are always going to have to be charities to make up for the fact that government funding can't cover everything in every area.

:s nore: :s nore:
Deffinition
Rant: speak in loud exaggerated manner: to speak or say something in a very loud, aggressive, or bombastic way, usually at length and repetitively
Rant? Maybe if you overexadurate it but I like to think of it as what it was intended to be; a comment devoid of any real feeling.
