British racing legend confident his record as the only man to have won world championships on both two wheels and four is set to remain intact a good while longer yet.

i can not find anything about seven Grand Prix World Championship crowns

Look a little harder. ;)

Rossi won 5 MotoGP titles, a 125cc title and a 250cc title.

That's seven motorcycle GP titles.

I think most teams would love to have Vale driving for them, if not for his talent, they would love all the sponsorship money that follows him around. I think he would do very well in F1. Perhaps Surtees is worried that Vale would go to F1 and win, and Surtees would not be the only one to do it. I think Rossi would have a better chance of getting a drive than Danica Patrick, that's for sure.

He drove a Ferrari 248 in '06 at the Mugello short circuit and hated it, saying that it wasn't a drivers car. Presumably because of the grooved tyres and TC.

Yeah, he didn't like the '06 car saying it's not that fun to drive.

I if 09, with slicks, lower aero and lack off TC, would be an incentive for him to try his hand again?

Valentino will never join F1 , when he's done with Moto GP...rallying will be his choice ;)

I'd be inclined to agree. I'm sure he prefers Rallying to F1 - But, it depends on what state the WRC is in. Imagine a competitive FIAT Grande Punto S2000+ - with Rossi driving!!!
