This weekend, the World Superbikes will be at the very fast circuit in Monza. Unfortunately, Roberto Rolfo has broken his collarbone by a mountainbike training and won't be there as a driver. The experienced driver Giovanni Bussei replaces him. I am sorry for you, Roby44. :(

Last year, Haga won both races in Monza. Can he repeat this or would it again Troy Bayliss that wins? What can do the Honda's, especially Carlos Checa? Can we expect a better performance from Biaggi? And what can do Xaus, Nieto, Corser, the Kawasaki's, Sofuoglu, Kiyonari and so on?

My expectations:
Pole: Corser

My top 3 for race 1:
1 Bayliss
2 Haga
3 Corser

My top 3 for race 2:
1 Haga
2 Checa
3 Bayliss

Supersport:
1 Pitt
2 Parkes
3 Rea

Not sure that we can expect more from Biaggi if he rides himself, but i expect so.
Up to this stage I can't see Sofuoglu who was strong in Supersport is also strong in the bigger class. I don't underestimate but seems this year is not an easy season for Haga to keep his strength the whole race.
Don't put aside Max Neukirchner.

Giovanni Bussei, was set to replace Rolfo at monza but while testing the bike he felt some pain in his right arm from a previous accident and so he wont race. Jake Zemke will replace Rolfo.

I am very happy today, this is the very first time that I have been able to watch Superpole. I think the race will be awesome, Troy, Nori, Max and Carlos on the front row. It has to be a cracker of a race.

I am not happy now, I am unable to watch the SBK's live. Because there is so much internet traffic here on a Sunday, my connection is as slow as a Honda F1 car in qualifying trim,(that's quite slow). I will have to wake up at 4 am and watch it then.Oh well, I will just relax and watch a DVD tonight, hit the sack early, and wake up and watch it then. As long as I don't know who is going to win, it's almost as good as watching it live.

Ah....superb. Proper racing

Not much more to add, aside from congratulating the excellent Max N on his first ever WSB win and Kiyo on that first podium. Richly deserved.

Simply brilliant racing. I think Troy was really pushing to keep up, and perhaps the bike couldn't handle the pressure. The Suzuki's are so fast on the straights. Congrats to Max, fine effort, and to Nori for a great fight. Good to See Kyo up there as well.

Excellent racing again in SBK.

Congratulations to Neukirchner for his brilliant weekend with his maiden win, Kiyonari for his first podium and Michael Beck for his first point in the SBK.

Who was the rider that Biaggi took out of the race in the last lap in race 2?

motogp is dead. long live wsbk!! my heart rate was about 180 throughout the entire event--both races. max is the real deal. and no longer being pushed around on track. how many riders could have withstood that pressure?

and so good to see the privateers at the pointy end--muggers, for example.

i think we will see a brilliant battle for the championship. you thought monza was hgh speed? wait till you see the track in utah?

cracking stuff...

and it smrz that crashed biaggi, or vice versa.

Fantastic racing all round. Great to see Neukirchner really coming of age with a much deserved first win and Haga now making use of his speed without crashing. He would be right on Bayliss heels if he kept the thing upright instead of in the gravel trap so often. Bayliss was really set for a dual podiums to almost put the title beyond doubt but for mechanical gremlins though it mattered little as his closest rival crashed out in typical fashion and so Troy leaves extending his points lead. Kiyo's improvement has been clear to see and his podium is just the first of many. I felt sorry for Biaggi in the second race, gritting it out with a busted wrist only to be taken out by an over-exuberant Jakub Smrz.

The Supersport wasn't as close at the front as we've become accustomed to but it was exciting back in the pack. A dominating ride by Fabien and one of Brookesy's most impressive outings. He's finally with an outfit that he can really show his wares. Parkes rode an extremely gritty race given he was carrying significant injuries and the title race is really tightening up after championship leader, Lascorz had a difficult race. It's a shame they're not going to the US.

Rider got crashed by someone else usually has less alertness and anticipation not to fall down. You can judge who crashed whom.

That's good to see Suzuki Alstare won the race, people will not recognize them only by name then.
